Issue with GM car cover

I just put on my new camaro GM car cover and I have the GM ground effects also. The Car cover will not fit over the front of the car on the bottom. You would think that GM would make provisions for the ground effects on the car cover. Anyone else run into this??

Yes, I just received my car yesterday. I put the cover on tonight and had the same problem as you described. I did get the cover to go on the car, but I am concerned about the amount of force that you have to apply to get it to go over. Then it does not go all the way over the lip on the front. Concerned the force applied is scratching the paint/clear coat. $350 cover and scared to use it.

that is the exact reason I got rid of mine..to afraid it would scratch up the car..

Wow, I was having the same issue. I actually recommend pulling the cover over the back while you have the slack. Then pull itover the front ground effects. Reason is you won't scratch the paint if you pull it over the front. The rear buldges out a little which will be scraped by the cover.
Also, the cover will stretch a little with time, and, you don't want it to be too lose, or the wind will catch the underside and blow the cover up like a balloon, which will constantly rub your paint.
