I'd suggest you grab the intake first and go from there. A catback isn't going to gain you much in the way of HP, unless you take out the resonators too. Adding a X pipe in will help as well. the stock catback is pretty darn good as far as HP goes since it's basically a straight thru design, including the mufflers. Just putting on a good CAI will make it sound much better when you get on it, plus it will gain you 10-15whp.

Axis- Just curious, who would leave the stock resonator when doing a cat back exhaust? I could understand if you wrote axle back.

Would agree not much to gain installing catback, but this is mainly due to the restrictive Cats.

Corsa is probably one of the louder catbacks out there.

And to the OP, if you want to keep your car street legal you can go with intake, shorty headers, and catback. You'd probably get about 20-30 hp out of all that. All combined you'd probably be looking at around $1600-1800, not including install.
