I am new and this may be the wrong thread for this question so I apologize in advance if it is. But I have a question on the SS/RS package. Is it an all or nothing package? I like the RS package but I don't want the 21" wheels is there a way I can get the RS without the 21" wheels? Thanks for the help

Yeah, I saw pics of the body kit on the Camaro a long time ago at http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3425

I think the Camaro looks awesome the way it is. And even with the RS appearance package it looks even better.

So while it's not my bag of tea, and I would never think of getting the body kit, At least they are getting serious in offerring a well rounded variety of parts for the Camaro, and for those that do like them that's great.

I know one thing for sure is that I'll be getting the CAI, Cat-back, and short throw!

I agree. Actually, since the base SS has the same lip spoiler as the RS equipped V6, SS models with the RS package should get an upgrade to the blade spoiler.

Just because GMPP doesn't offer a blower doesn't mean you can't put one on. And if they offer one for the Vette, it should work just fine on the Camaro. A supercharger should not be the reason to pick the Corvette over the Camaro.

The RS package doesn't offer 21 inch wheels. It only offers 20 inch wheels. And yes it is all or nothing.

WOW!!! I have to say..........with the exception of the painted 21" wheels and maybe the spoiler, the body kit is Hideous. My opinion is that it takes away from the classic lines of the car. It makes it look like the Camaro is trying to look like some souped-up Honda or something. A nice subtle carbon-fiber splitter (like the ZR1 has) would look classier. And why not the stock wheels is 21" painted black or dark grey. All the body kit reminds me of is a gawdy Roush or Saleen Mustang with an excess of plastic. GM could have done much better. Maybe I'll change my mid if I see the car with kit in all one color, like black, but otherwise I'm VERY disappointed.
Like someone else posted, I'd be much happier if the new Bumblebee hood was offered in this showing.

I'm sure way too much---you got me there. But I just think at least this kit being offered by GM is way to much for the car. Maybe a more subtle front grill----like the photoshops some of the people have done.

Oh man! That accessories list is sweet! That ground effects kit paired with the highrise tail looks pretty good! And GM Acc. shorty headers? AWESOME! And a billet grill from the factory, this car is going to be the best!

Not to burst your bubble, because I do agree it is freakin sweet to have any car that says "180" on the speedo......

But that's actually to accomodate the conversion to kilometers/hour. If you notice, there is no small print font for km/h below the large numbers. GM has gone the way of making most of their speedometers with electronic recalibration for English and Metric. When you go into the DIC and hit Metric, it now recalibrates your outside temp display, interior climate control (Camaro won't have climate control), fuel computer, and the speedometer and mileage readout, whether you get a digital speedo or analog.

It's actually pretty cool. If you're going 40 mph, and while you're driving go in to the DIC and switch to metric, the needle on the speedo jumps up to around 60 immediately!

i have a couple of questions about these accessories. is the blade spoiler the one picture below or is it different? also in this pic the tail lights seem pretty deep into the body kit but that doesn't seem to be the case on the gm poster? can you get the rear diffuser without the ground effects kit?

The images taken at Indy make it look like the Rear Diffusor can be purchased independantly of the GFX package. But it will be included in the package if you opt for it (as I will).

That spoiler is the Wing spoiler, not the blade spoiler. I'd really need to see the blade spoiler on the car 'cause in the pic we've seen, I don't care for it. I like the standard SS spoiler best.

Those rear lights appear very deep because there is no actual taillight assembly in them, it's empty.

i think the blade looked pretty nice. even from the pictures. but yeah i would like to see it on a car in the next few weeks. maybe when chevy gets the web sight up and going with all the options it will let you build a camaro and put these options on it to see what it looks like.
