Faisal contacted me months and months ago because he needed two Black Camaros for a movie they would be making. I got trades all worked out with a couple of dealers but he never did purchase the cars from me.

So...low budget, perhaps. But the story he gave me back then aligns exactly with what he has posted here. Even promised me a 'Fathead' of the hero car.

Hope the movie is well done and is a good one! I hope to get my 'Fathead' too...

I looked on IMDB and there is very limited information there. Don't discount this movie yet...I am holding out hope that it will be great.

When I spoke with Faisal, he told me who the star of the show will be and he was a MAJOR TV star. I had to google him at the time, as I don't pay that much attention to names of stars. When I found him, I was pretty impressed. Now it's driving me crazy because I can't remember his name!!!

Oh well, time will tell.

I've heard the famous TV star bit before, it can refer to anyone from reality TV to local cable. Their web site says it all , at least when I checked it out a week ago It looked like high school kids put it together.

We hope to see many of you at our display. The project was just featured on the Local NBC news. Here is a copy of our latest press release. We will show a never before seen teaser for the film during the show.

Movie Company Exodus Pictures Announces Actor Ray Park to Unveil Hero Car Debuting at Detroit Autorama 2010

LIVONIA, MI--(Marketwire - February 24, 2010) - Michigan production company Exodus Pictures has added actor Ray Park to the cast of "Jinn," its supernatural thriller set to begin filming next month. At this weekend's Detroit Autorama 2010, Park will reveal "The FireBreather," the movie's hero car created in partnership with another Michigan-based company Classic Design Concepts. The unveiling will take place at a press conference at the company's Autorama display on Friday, February 26th, 2010.
Ray Park, the latest addition to "Jinn"'s cast, will travel to Detroit for this weekend's Autorama. Park, a renowned actor and martial artist, has starred in numerous film and television projects including, "Star Wars Episode One," "X-Men," "G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra," and NBC's "Heroes." He will make appearances at the company's display throughout the weekend, and will unveil the car to the press at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 26th.

Ajmal Zaheer Ahmad, co-founder of Exodus, writer/director of "Jinn" and Detroit native, will also speak at this weekend's unveiling. He will discuss the vehicle's design and the role it plays in his company's mission. "The paramount goal of Exodus Pictures is to show the world what the people of Michigan have to offer... building this car is our first step along that path," said Ahmad of his brainchild, the FireBreather.

Exodus opened its office in Livonia last year. Filming of their inaugural film project, "Jinn," will begin in the Detroit area next month. They will employ local talent in the creation of this film as they did in the making of the movie's hero car. The company plans to use this Michigan-centered model to accomplish their long term goals: "creation of permanent local jobs, continued industry training, and retention of intellectual property."

Detroit's Autorama runs February 26-28 at Cobo Hall. Visitors to the Exodus display will have the opportunity to see the movie car, meet Park and Ahmad, and view the never-before-seen "Jinn" teaser.

About Exodus:

Exodus Pictures, LLC is a motion picture production company based in Livonia, Mi. Our mission is to create groundbreaking and inspiring entertainment that starts, but does not end at film. The Exodus vision is to create and produce high concept and innovative intellectual property. These "franchise" properties will be created by using established Hollywood resources while harnessing and supporting the abundant talent that Michigan has to offer.

Ok...sooo...Ray Park is not the name Faisal gave me when we spoke a few months ago.

Is Ray Park a major enough star? Looks like he's been in some pretty big shows.

On a side note...the 'eyes' on that car look B-A!

Most recognizable for me as Toad from X-Men.

Ok, now that we have some pictures of it uncovered, I have to say i told you so on the gills, they were taped over.. But, that is the real nose. I coulda swore it was part of the camouflage.. And the camouflaged pictures were probably staged because most of us would not be aware of this movie if it weren't for those pics...C'mon I dont think Bumblebee was cammo'd before his movie debut..

But all in all "Firebreather" looks badass, and good luck with the movie

Hey
exodus may be new , but michigan has created sginificant incentive for movie production startups like them.
When has there been another major industry startup in Michigan......?

A lot of hype over here in west michigan about this new industry. If the incentive stays, michigan might have some hope of survival with some new industries like motion picture, and if movie producers like exodus try to promote the auto industry in the process with hype and cool cars, I am fully supporting them as I am in the auto industry.

good job !!

looking forward to the movie

With a name like "Firebreather" the front end design & the huge shaker like hood the car looks to be derived from the Firebird. Definitely not a GM Firebird concept though. Then again GM could bring the Pontiac brand back whenever they feel like & for whatever reason. Who's to say that GM doesn't just bring back the brand just for the Firebird model. When GM cars sell a lot it gets them thinking about a sister car. Still not likely though.

I took a bunch of photos of the FireBreather at Autorama yesterday (skip to page 4 of my photo album; it's Camaros only ). Click the pic to go to the full album.

I have to say I was impressed by the car visually (except Cobo has such horrible lighting for any dark color car, especially black.....) and it sounds like it will be a nice collector car. My only concern about selling the 50 replicas of this Camaro is the lighting on the front. Wouldn't it have to be another color in order to be street legal? Otherwise I would love to see Camaros like this driving around.

Having some fun yesterday with Firebreather at Autorama

I have to say after owning a limited 84 Firebird that said Blackbird on the side of the door that seeing Firebreather yesterday was a nice change in pace. Other then the lighting yesterday being so horrible and listing to a couple of the owners complain about it for their cars, I have to say threw it all that Firebreather not only out does a lot of the new cars out there but it will hold her own out on the street. Please remember while she might have the body make of the Camaro she is not a actual Camaro. I have to say that taking pictures of her in that lighting they had is tricky to say the least. I have over a hundred shots of her and while I got a good hand full of them to turn out I would have liked more that had turned out. What I did not ask and should have is one I would have loved to see the inside of her and two I should have asked him to pop the hood because I really want/wanted to see what was really under that hood. All in all try not to be to fast to judge until you see this mean beast in person. I would make one change for myself though and that would be while he has white halos on her I would have a flip switch to change them to red Halo's or even orange. I like red better but the orange would have just a nice twist to it. I have a few nice pictures up in my album for anyone wanting to see her. My full thanks goes to Director/Writer Ajmal Zaheer Ahmad for spending the time to tell me about his car and allowing myself and the lady Highbeam here to step in and have you snap this picture of us with your car. Thank you again and I look forward to seeing Firebreather out on the road here for the filming of your movie JINN

Actor Ray Park to be the main actor in the upcoming movie JINN.
Played Darth Maul in Star Wars, Snake Eyes in G.I. Joe, and is playing Edgar on NBC's Heroes. Actor Ray Park playing a little Star Wars training with the crowd in front of Firebreather at Autorama yesterday at Cobo Hall Detroit, MI

Last but least here my good friend Highbeam has a wonderful album up as well of some of the featured Camaro's at Autorama Feb 27th, 2010 along with being with me for the photo with Firebreather. So check out Highbeams album of Firebreather as well.
