low tire lights

damn almost every day in the am i get a low tire pressure light, its annoying, I know they are normally inflated and just reading low because it is cold, you would think they might have factored in the cold with this sensor

You should add some air. In cold temperatures, air contracts and tire pressure decreases. You also can lose pressure over time. A lb or 2 a month is not uncommon.

Recommended pressures are calculated for cold tire pressure. Your gauges are doing their job. Ignoring them could put you, your passengers, your tires and your car in jeopardy. Just saying!

Hi Guys,... I just picked my car up on Jan 27 2010 and when I picken mine up the tires were at 42-44 PSI from the MFG.

I live in Florida,... What is the Recommended PSI for these Tires anyway?

Most tires I've had were like 35-37 PSI.

The recommended pressure for the Pirellis is 36 psi.
For every 10 degrees drop in outside temp, a tire will drop 1 psi.
My tires are at 36 psi when checked with a calibrated guage, but my TPMS sensors are reading 32 psi. So that being said, the tpms sensors are not very accurate. Mine are 4 psi off. If I inflate by the tpms readings then I will be at 40 psi actually in my tires.
Do not trust the tpms readings in the DIC, it is just a guideline. Use a good calibrated tire guage. Then you can see what the DIC reads and know what is normal. Now that I know that I'm at 36 psi when the DIC reads 32 psi, I now just look at the DIC when I get in the car and if it says 32 then I'm good to go.
