I tried to crack it to. Just go to Google.com and search that criteria and just look through all those pages of info. There's got to be something, I just havn't had the chance.

That is great information, but.... I am pissed that it says "available in early 2009. I have heard mid to late 2008? Has any one else seen or read this? That means we have to wait 18 LOOOOOOOONG months before we can get the new Camaro. That is just not right.

bcannan

+1

and remember bcannan, early 2009 is only a comfort zone for them - meaning it can be guaranteed by then - but late 2008 is a very likely release date.

I can wait. More time to save up money so I can afford the top-dog Camaro.

That gives them more than enough time to figure out what engines they are going to offer. I'm for waiting so they won't make big mistakes. I think offering two V6 options is a bust.

I actually have a license plate frame on my current put-put mobile that's counting down the months. LOL

It says-

09 CAMARO (Top)

18 MONTHS TO GO (Bottom)

I change it monthly.

I know the extra time will allow "US' to save more money and give them time to work out the "bugs". But DAMN that car is HOT, and I want one yesterday. Any way I guess I can wait.

I can't wait ... I 'm so scared the car might look old, boring and overrated in 2009...

There are so many cars I used to find hot and finally think are crappy.

what the use of showing a car and producing it 3 or 4 years later? come on! we are not talking about a F-22 for the army that costs millions of dollars ! it's "just" a car!

mister GM, work faster, or i'll walk away ...

Maybe I am reading into it too much but the memo said:

" •Customers will be able to choose from a V6 or V8 engine and a manual or automatic transmission."

Based on the grammar of that statement, it reads only one V6 and one V8 option.

Does that mean no HIPO V6 and only one V8?

Nah...I'm sure it's going have a few options. My guess is only 4 options total, but could be 5.
