Camaro V6 V Colorado 5.3 V8

I use to have the i5 Colorado back in the day, I was over on their web site, under their kill story they are talking about racing the Camaros, they have the 5.3 V8 300 or 303 HP I think, how would that match up be?

Prolly pretty close. I think the colorado maybe even close or less in weight then the camaro

Looked it up, looks like 300 hp. And depending on single or full size it ranges between 3300lbs and upto 4000lbs

They are low 15 second trucks. You can only get the V8 in extended cab and 4 door and they weigh 4000 plus pounds. Camaro FTW

Not really close. The V6 Camaro has it by about a second in both.

Yea thats what I figured, all the storys over in that board are not Drag Strip Stories, they are more like, " we were in two lanes merging into one, the Camaro tried to pass me and I floored it and won" type stuff.

Which is why I always keep mine in standard verse automatic.. drop a gear and my body hits the back of the seat.

my colorado would outrun the v8 trucks, but it wasn't stock. and even then i doubt i could outrun the v6 camaro, although i tore up all mustang v6's and some older gt's, and could outrun the 3rd and 4th gen v6's as well. the colorado is a light truck. i think mine with tonneau, and 22's weighed like 35-3600 pounds, with my 230 pound ass in it.
