[COTW 5/17/10]: Michael's Maro - TVS 2300 Magnacharger 623.94 rwhp

Featured COTW on CAMARO5 HOMEPAGE.

FULL MOD LIST:

Quote:
American Racing Headers
Roto-Fab CAI
Low temp thermostat
MTI Racing 6 shooter shifter
MTI Racing lowering springs
MTI Racing big red sway bars front and rear
stainless steel braided brake lines (red)
Stage 2 Comp Cam
MBRP Exhaust
Carbotech brake pads
TVS 2300 Magna-charger
AAM 3.73 gears
Dyno tuned 730hp 623.94 rwhp

Roto-fab fuel rail covers custom painted
Lingerfelter's pedal's
Defenderworks black bowties
Powder coated caliper's brembo red
Powder coated Chrome exhaust bezel's
Powder coated MBRP exhaust tip's

Painted (blacked out) brake lights, side marker's
Painted chrome bezel tail-light piece (black)
Changed out all chrome pieces- Camaro lettering, GM chicklet, back piece to the bowties, I had them painted to Black chrome

RK Sport hood
MTI Racing rear wing spoiler
Razzi front nose piece

Custom airbrushing done on fuel-rail covers, oil cap, dip stick, fuse box cover.
Also had airbrush painting done on the under side of my hood..CAMARO 5 LOGO
Custom airbrushing done on my bowties with SS logo
Custom painting done on my CAI tube
Front upper and lower grill painted black.
This is a RK SPORT hood, quality of the hood is good, except for having alignment problem's at the left front corner, the hood stick's up about 1/4 in above the fender. The other issue is at the right top, by driver's door area, also stick's up about a good 1/8 in.
I made a big mistake not having the hood dry fitted.

I also just installed the RAZZI front lip piece, there products are 1st class.

Also installed MTI RACING rear wing spoiler, 1st class products as well, only has 1 issue with a screw being out of alignment by 1/16 in, easy fix..

All the the paint work was done by Camtech Custom paint, this was all AIRBRUSHED.
Notice that there are no tape lines in my hood going from black to carbon..

Heat extractor hood. Nics looking car you have there. I'm a big fan of what you did to the exhaust.

Why was the hood so far off???? I feel like it should have a better fit than that. I know you have to do some adjustments but I wouldn't have thought it would have been that far out or is it just me?

From what my paint shop tells me that the hood is warped, you can't adjust it because it sticks up, the hood stops are all the way down, if you push down on the hood it goes down, but springs back up..
The other part that is high is at the driver's side by the hood hinges, no way to make them go down, the hinges are down as far as they will go..gonna take it back to the shop next week to see if they can do anything.
I have seen another thread about this same issue, so it's not just my hood, maybe it's a manufacturer problem, gonna call RK SPORT

is the effect on the taillights from the flash or did you just tint the lower portion of the lense and left the reflectors fully exposed. either way, they look awesome. everything else looks awesome also, too bad about the fitment of the hood.
