Autocross Videos

I'll start it off with a video of my bone stock Transformer Edition SS with an automatic having some fun. This was my first time autocrossing and I did have a blast!

The youTube link didn't work. Did you ever hear what the fastest time was?

There, I fixed it. The fastest time? I know the guy who was in charge of the autocross event ran about a 30 in his race mustang. I'm not sure if my time was the fastest bone stock time of the day. I would think that someone would have beat it since I was in the first group and only raced 3 times. Let's see.... Did any one beat my time with a bone stock car? What was your fastest lap if your car was modified?

Believe it or not..... I just had it in "Drive". At the time I didn't know about putting it in "M" to make it shift later.

My 38.9 run, my second fastest of the day. I don't know how to embed it into my post.

I found this thread(below) that helps explain how to do the video. There's a more recent one on the site, but it doesn't work exactly without some tweaking.

My video of my 36.6 time should be up tomorrow!

I had the fastest time on Street Tires. and Cincy´s Camaro had the fastest time on track tires. The Sledgehammer (65 Mustang) was there practicing for todays SCCA race so I didn't count him

Ran 8 times in the 4;00 group. Bone stock two people in the car. Best time was 38.583 then38.635 and38.668. 6M tranny with traction control and stabilatrac off. It was a blast to let it hangout coming out of the corners.

Fastest Camaro time of the weekend was the Cincy Speed entry of Mike O'Briens car at a 34.2 which it ran several times carrying passengers. Car was equipped with PFADT coilovers ,sway bars, mounts and had 295 autocross tires on it. Also had a Cincy Speed spec'd camshaft and long tubes.

2nd fastest Camaro time was a 34.5 in the Complete Custom Wheel entry that was a SS/automatic RENTAL with a huge wheel and tire package...315's square and some really light one piece CCW's (18x11)

3rd fastest was your event sponsor Reese Cox of MTI driving their in-house 4th gen NASA AIX race car on radial slicks at a 35.2 last I saw. This car was probably significantly lighter than the two cars above.

Not sure what the event organizers SCCA CP Mustang went, but he should have handily "clocked" us all as that car is 1,000 lbs (!!!!) lighter and is purpose built for autocross. Anyone know what kind of times it was running at the end of the day ????

Erik from Torq did NICE job getting into the 36's on those pseudo street tires !!! Nice meeting you Erik at the PFADT tent.

I was amazed at how well these cars handled at nearly four thousand pounds I am used to things that are a thousand pouns less....

Fun watching everyone enjoy their cars on the autocross....anyone can drive a car straight down the dragstrip

Thanks Raftracer! I was really happy with that time! I getting the same wheel/tire set-up that the rental car had so I'm looking forward to see what the car can do with some traction.

It was great meeting you as well!

Here is a video of the Camaro5 Fest autocross winner Cincy Speed, driven by Danny Popp (RAFTRACER) and owned by Mike O'Brien. Great job to everyone involved! These guys really outdid themselves in the race tire class.

And here is an embedded link to Erik@Torq's AWESOME performance in the street tire class:

For us bone stock guys... I was way impressed with Cincy Speed(right behind his runs), but only managed at 38.9, 38.6 and 38.4 on my last 3 runs of 5 turns. What a great time! I wanna keep doing it (except for the cost of tires...).

Where should I go to get a line on other opportunities in the Virginia/Midwest region?

Ran a 38.6 in my LT1 V6 RS with M6 bone stock. No where near the torque of the V8's or the beefier suspension so I consider my run pretty impressive. Especially since I only got 3 runs in.

That Cincy Speed car was bad. I had a chance to watch and listen to it run. What a car and driver. Good job also Eric. There wasn't nearly enough time to play but I got a best of 37.1.
