69 Camaro 350 4 speed

Need info.

In my area is a 69 with a 350 and 4 speed going for $13,000 obo. Body needs paint but has minimal rust and the interior is a 5 out of 10. Runs and drives good with new exhaust and brakes. Has the RS grille installed but the lights covers don't flip up.

Good price? Going to see it Monday and may make an offer, anything specific to look for? Thanks

Originally, the car had white standard interior, and the exterior paint was burnished brown. A really nice combination in my opinion. But I'd need more info to determine if the engine, transmission, or rear end were original to the car. It would definitely be nice to know if the "RS" was original too. I would say if this car had the original drive train, it would definitely be worth the price, as long as rust was minimal. Everything looks pretty original except for the intake and valve covers. Let me know if you need any help deciphering any codes.
Yeah, went and took a look. Ehhh, kinda pricey for what it was. The Body was straight(ish) and most the chrome looked presentable. Dark blue paint looked like it was applied with a paint brush and bubbling in a few areas. Didnt take a magnet with me but 99% sure a nice layer of bondo was underneath many spots on the car.

Not an RS package, the grille was installed and the covers were not connected to "flip" open.

Didn't have time to check for vins/info on the engine, trans, or rearend.

Interior had a "nice" dash but the center console was missing and it had bad faded (brownish/blue) carpet. The seats were non original black high buckets but most of the switches and levers, etc worked. Not a speck of white to be found though

No major rust underneath and seemed solid, doors sagged a little on opening. Weather stripping needed attention and had a cracked windshield.

Fired right up and ran well, the brakes were new and not worn in yet, so some tugging when coming to a stop...and the clutch needed adjustment I believe.

Lowest he would go was $12,000 and I think it would need at least $8,000 of work, just to make it a good looking 69.

Fixing the minor issues, it is easily a "daily driver" for its current condition and a great project car...I just can't make up my mind

If I go back, I'll get some numbers off the above mentioned parts and take you up on your offer with the codes. thanks!

I really wish all my cars had paint brush paint. Atleast you know what to look for.
