Price and stability

It is good news that GM price increase is minimal.
The overall success of the New Camaro is undoubtable.
GM can do better:
1. Increase the margin without increasing the retail price of the car.
Right now franchisees don't make a lot of money on the sale of the car (about $1000) and an incease of profit would entice dealers to sell more cars.
2.Incorporate the GM High Performance parts catalog into the Camaro factory accessories. When I know that I can order headers, cat back, hurst shifter, etc, I will be ready.
3. The Z28 model and convertible will have a significant price difference between the 2SS.

Best
Ricky

IOM has been an extra cost color since production started.

Good news with pricing, has anything been mentioned about upgrades aside from HUD? Horsepower etc?

no it wasn't... they didn't start charging extra for it until april...

at the start of production, and even after that, in their february pricing update, the only extra cost color was the red jewel... and it was only 295 too...

in april, they added IOM to the list...

yeah they did start charging for IOM.

RY, I explained my theory in another thread. I just think it's because of the "I want bumblebee effect". As more people other than enthusiasts begin to buy this car, they feel the need to buy the car that made it famous. Therefore, they buy the car that resembles bumblebee the most.

Just what I think. I can't think of any other reason to charge extra for that color.

So now that pricing didn't really change will GM discount the 2010 models sitting on the lots?

I got the same price ($1000 off MSRP) for a 2010 or 2011 from my dealer but the 2011 will have the HUD and it will be worth more then a 2010 when I sell it or trade it in. My dealer is trying to find a 2010 for me with the options I want but now I don't know if it worth buying a 2010.
