I've done a considerable amount of research into STS (haven't actually used them, but I was thinking about it and I wanted to make an informed decision) and I've found out a couple of things. First, the rear-mount turbo system is really only designed for low boost - 5 to 7 PSI or so - applications. Also, from what I can tell, the best thing to do is buy a universal kit and do all the piping yourself. It kind-of shifts the cheap/fast/reliable scale from more on the cheap end to more on the fast/reliable end. So, no, they aren't a racers turbo kit, but they are quite capable of giving you that extra oomph.

For the ease and simplicity of the kit...yes.

I could have gotten more out of it. Something was up with the spring in my wastegate so even though I was suppossed to be seeing 5.5 PSI I was only seeing around 4. That extra pound and a half would have done some good.

APS thank you very much. I'd rather not have 50 ft of tubing running all over my car, and no mufflers.

I just don't trust my money hanging off the back of the car like ricer bait.

By the way...I don't call a 12 foot oil line to the back of the car.."simple"...just me I guess.....
Look at that flange and welds - Its horrible. My two year old son probably can weld better than that. If you are spending almost 40k on a car why cheap out on these inferior parts. Looks like a bunch of parts found at a junk yard IMHO. APS, Callaway, Lingenfelter, Magnasson etc...are the way to go - quality products.

I am sorry I went off - but...

My credo - "If you can't afford to do it right with the highest standards, don't do it at all"

I definitely disagree with this mantra. If you can get more power from doing something on a budget, then clean it up later when you have the cash, then more power to you.

As opposed to cold, dry, splashing water?

Are you worried about water hitting your mufflers? Because the turbos really don't get any hotter. Due to being so far from the headers, temps go down considerably.

That was a turbo car? It sounded like a supercharger to me but maybe it's just my speakers - regardless; WOW! She got hot there! My brother was infamous in our neighborhood for a long time because he took his '93 Accord and would do burnouts for the neighborhood kids until his mudflaps would catch fire... True story...

yeah, dehydrated water... you've never heard of it. astronauts use it in space.

kinda like the screen door for submarines..... to keep the flys out. lol

seriously tho, I know the temp goes down, but still, hot metal and cold liquids arent always a good combo...

and i believe in positive displacement anyway. so there!
