Looks like all you need are the part numbers for Part 19 from the first picture (HUD), and Part 40 from the second picture (Trim Bezel).

wonder if the wires are the in the 2010 to plug into the HUD? I assume yes, because they were wanting it to be done before production. . .

This is going to be a cool DIY. I know a lot of vette guys that have done this retrofit and you DO NOT need a new windshield. The stock one will work fine.

I bet it's like a new windshield would be best, but not required.

GREAT work on this so far, 2SSRS... no doubt you will do an awesome job with this DIY. If I wasn't already committed to trading the 2010 i got used for an new '11 with IOM interior instead of the black and with the rear-parking sensors (and HUD of course) then I would be right there with you trying to do this.

I seriously doubt you would need a new windshield considering how much reflection we get just from the black defrost vents against the black faux-leather plastic dash

The HUD will probably reflect just fine in all but the most direct sunlight on it.

You should not need a new windshield. It's really more the angle of the projector in relation to the angle of the windshield that allows you to see the reflection. Think of the glare you get off your dash if you use armorall on your dash (I remember many years ago washing my parents car and putting armorall everywhere... talk about a mess... ).

The easiest way to tell if GM really did create a special glass for this application is to ask your parts manager that gave you the GM parts diagrams if there is a different part number for the windshield for a 2011 vs a 2010.

Thank you now for the bad news went to dealer and there are new part numbers for the 2011 windshield.

But i think it will work with the windshield we have now, The way i see it if the price was the same for the 2010 windshield and the 2011 then it may be the same windshield.

Got all the low speed bus and high speed bus wiring Schematics. will post up later.
