Anyone tried sending Google Maps to their car yet?

I see that it is now working. Anyone tried it yet? What are your impressions?

The geek in me is just curious. I doubt I'd spend the money for the upgrade to OnStar since Google Navigation works fine on my Droid.

Nothing wrong with Mapquest, I've just been using Google for a long time so I hooked on it.

Go to Google Maps, get your directions, then click the Send To button, select Car, and follow the prompts from there.

Yes, what does OnStar use for your username? I've tried my name as shown on the OnStar web page as well as my OnStar account number. both return errors...

What I don't like about MapQuest send to OnStar is that even after I update the route the way I want it, it still sends the default route they choose. I don't care for that...

EDIT: Well, according to OnStar, my username is my account mumber, with the 1st three "0"'s and without the dashes. Google still doesn't like that :(

I can send it from google to the car and then just the onstar button and tell them what I named it and they will push it to the car.

Ah! You can't start with directions. You select a location, then, in the pop-up, hit More, then you can select Car. Note that this seems to use the Virtual Adviser, so you need hands-free calling minutes.

Virtual Adviser does not charge you minutes when using for E-Nav
