I love my wheels.

I don't mind the bumps or the rougher ride at all. With the main vibration gone, I'm happy. I can certainly live with the rest.

Oh, ya. The painted rotors actually worked out pretty good. Nice contrast witha good surface instead of the dirty rusty hub.

Ya, leave the dent, been there forever - it gives your car personality and it doesn't interfere with the performance of your car..

Holy Sh##, you bowled a 637?!? What's your average? My highest game is a 287, averaged 177.. Haven't bowled in what seems like forever. Good for you for not lighting up too.

You crack me up. Love reading your replies and comments, I guess I'm a "creeper", huh?

Wheels look amazing..

HMMMM what concerns me is the massive wheel weights. That doesn't show well for the wheel or tire and in your case most likely wheel. I sure thought Savini would have just replaced them all.

I've had my 22's on for a good while now... enough to get used to the rougher ride and I can definitely say there is NO vibration what so ever. (max weight total on any wheel was 2oz) It does take a little time riding on them to get used to the ride change.

Glad it worked out and you're now ready for the next mod... A DIY rack install with video...

And a 637 series..... you should have stopped smoking a long time ago..

PQ-
I may have a set of Kooks LT 1 7/8" headers (coated) and with high flow cats for sale soon. Low miles (like 300 miles) on them. If I go with the twin turbo kit, the headers will have to come off the car. Live and learn.

And congrats on quitting smoking. Smart man. Keep it up. Your family will thank you for it.

*AHEM*

Got the wheels back yesterday. Had to go pick them up or I would have had to wait til Monday. HELL NO!!!!!!!!!!!! I wasn't waiting.

So I had my son come and get me and went and loaded them up in his Jeep. Sent him home with the wheels and finished my work day. THEN went to our bowling league. Drank some beer and didn't smoke and still shot 637 .

So I get home last night and put the wheels on the car and crossed my fingers.

Being a total possitive thinker and having total confidence and faith that they will be good, I started the car up.

(BTW, my car REALLY wanted to be started. lol)

Took the car out for a good test drive and they vibrated completely off the car. I was stuck on the side of the road on the rotors................

Ok, not really. .. .. ..

I feel good with the wheels the way they are now. The vibration that I feel now is I guess the vibration of the road. But the big vibration is gone. Still some under load, but I guess it's just the drivetrain and feeling the power of the car up through the chasis. Still MUCH more than my 21s. So anyone thinking of going with 22 inch wheels, understand that there WILL be a shitty ride. Even with the mechanical vibration I had, gone, it still vibrates with the road. I'm ok with it becauase it's pretty much what I expected. But it's definitely riding like a tank. Just without the 'Mechanical' steerign wheel vibration it did have.

So if 21" GM wheels on a scale from 1 to 10 were the norm at 10. I'd put 22" after market wheels at about a 3.5 or maybe a 4.

One more thing. There are a TON of wheel weights on these wheels. OMG, I've never seen so many weight on a wheel. BUT the problem is fixed, so I can now move on to my headers and exhaust.

So there you have it. I"m good with my wheels. And they sure are purdy.

Oh, I just left the sensors off since GM can't get the car to work with anything. Totally weird.

Time for some loud sound and tuning.

Personal thanks to tribone for offering his time and his car to test my wheels and make sure it was all good.
Awesome on finally getting your wheels "straightened" out !!!!

Congrats buddy...

Now you can concentrate on the fun again.

You getting the blower now? If not....I'd wait on headers, personally...get a catback for the sound, and
then do Maggie, headers and a tune all at once, later. Aren't you ideally supposed to do 2" headers with FI?

1 and 7/8ths headers and 3" catback with 2.5" mufflers. Seems to be the best set up for a street driven supercharger..

LOL

Actually that is what THR and ARH told me when I was putting my build together.

You don't need 2" until you are getting close to 700 at the wheels.
