Apparently, modern clutches are a common problem. I know they are in the GT 500s. My '07 Mustang GT had clutch problems. And, when I bought my Cobalt to commute in, the first thing the sales person pointed out was that the clutch is NOT covered under the 3/36 warranty due to the fact that most people "ride" the clutch and GM won't replace wear and tear items. You would think after 100 years of automotive history, these companies would have a simple clutch figured out!

you mean the modern clutch pedal mechanism......

the physical clutch and pressure plate itself are probably fine. the new hydraulic line style is not as reliable as mechanical linkage during competitive driving.
