I'm getting wooried that I may not be able to attend this year due to problems with my SS.

My Camaro has been in the shop for just over a week now and I'm feeling very frustrated with the problems I've been having.

Heater core ( defective ) recall
Ambient Lighting on driver's door ( won't light up ) recall
Rear speaker panel ( speaker grille warped ) recall
Aftermarket chrome rim ( warped ) manufacturer defect
Front GM splitter ( won't stay on ) defective clamps
Rear bumper ( Major paint defect - pitting and desolving ) bumper has been sanded and repainted, however, there are now blemishes in the paint that I'm not very happy with. EVERYONE take note !! I've found 5 camaro's with the same problem ... this may be a problem with the bumper itself so please take a close look at yours ... it starts off looking like sand in the paint, but can spread quickly!

Not sure when all this will be completed by, however, on the bright side ... since Saturday we will be gathering at Nurse Chevrolet I guess my car will already be there!

Visited the dealership today to inspect my baby! ....

... rear speaker panel 2nd panel shipped and defective
... told ambient lighting and heater core fixed, but have yet to test.
... front rim replace and told new is perfect.
... front splitter . diffuser repaired, but now see deep scratches on bumper due to original install.
... rear bumper paint is still no good as there are at least 1 piece of hair in paint and several sand granules throughout paint job. Told them it must be fixed or bumper replaced. Will not accept less than 100%.

Sure not looking like it will be ready in time. Man I will be if I miss this one!

Sounds like it's still very possible. If it's just the paint work left then you should have it back in time. I also think they are aware that they are hosting us on Saturday. You might want to politely mention that your car is expected to be at their Camaro show and so the work has to be good because it will represent the dealerships quality of work.

Actually, I had mentioned this to them before they painted the bumper the first time. Said I guess my car will be here for the show one way or another ... either outside alongside all the other Camaros or hanging up in their service bay.

Will be coming from Detroit area through Windsor...Early AM Friday. Didn't know if I could get out of a trial at work.

If anyone wants to meet up in Windsor to caravan and or split a room, LMK. I will roll the dice and get a room when there.
