Hood Liner

Worked on hood liner tonight. I had seen them painted and lettered. I tried to take a different approach. Got some 1/16" plexiglass and after making a paper template, cut it to size. Used the last I had of my body colored spray paint to paint it on the back side. My first attempt at this was held on with 3M 2 sided tape....it didnt stay so as much as i didnt want to, this one is held with 4 small screws with flat washer, locking washer and nut on the other side of the liner.

It was dark when i took the pics so they may not be in the best of focus.

Tint

Just got the windows tinted today. 35% all the way around. Tint is still a bit hazy until it dries. Only downfall was that the tint installer removed my NRA sticker. Guess I gotta get one that goes on the outside of the window now. The good point....he was cheap...did the car for $140 another shop near him wanted $235. I see no bubbles or wrinkles in this guy's work.

Welcome fellow North Carolinian.. Wish I had started a thread to show my cars progress and stuff..

We'll be rolling through your area on August 7th as our club is going to the NASCAR Hall of Fame in Charlotte. I just put a thread on the "Southeast" page tonight. Come join us if you don't have plans - it should be a fun time. The more Camaro's, the better.

Nice lookin SIM.. Lori

Nav & Backup Camera

Installed my Metra kit and Kenwood 9960 with Backup camera. First Metra kit was bad...no display on the upper LCD window but the car audio shop replaced it and the 2nd one worked.

Hiding the stock mufflers

Got some high heat flat black spray from Advance Auto and painted the stock mufflers. I really didnt like seeing them hang out under the back of the car and seeing them through the holes around the chrome tips. Just me personally, but I like this look a lot better.

Phone holder

I got my mount from Pro Clips yesterday and put it in. Looks better than I thought it would in the car. This will get used a LOT since I am letting XM expire and will use Pandora Radio app.....it's free and has just as much of the songs as I listened to on XM

A little more bass

Added a small JL amp and a couple 10W0's. I am finally happy with the sound. Still need to dress up the wiring a bit, which I'm heading to do now.
