New 2009 Camaro starring role in Transformers Movie!

“Bumblebee” is going to start out as a 1970s Camaro, and then be rebuilt as a 2008/2009 Camaro.

The movie is due for release on July 4th, 2007.

“Starscream” is going to be an F-22 Raptor, and “Optimus Prime” is going to be a Mack truck.

Very very very cool. Will be even better if Chevy can get the real car to come out around the same time as the movie does... then i'll be able to roll up to the theatre with one... always wanted to do that.

Thats just awesome. Wait till this movie comes out the car will get even more attention than its already getting! Im not usually a fan of racing stripes but the stripes look right at home on this car (just like the ones in the photoshopped pics in the other thread)

BTW where are the calipers on this car?

From what I have heard the reason Saleen has their name on the car is because the camaro body panels were placed on the Mustang frame, remember there is currently only two concept cars.....Dont think they would allow a movie studio to use one of them.....

hey you guys im new to this site, and to tell you the truth, i love this site.

But one thing i noticed in the pic above is that the saleen interior that they show you, isnt the same interior as the car.

if you look at the interior of the car from the out side you would be able to tell that there is no grill thingy for the headrest and there are no stichings of saleen in the pic of the car from the out side, while in the interior pic there is.

why is the interior different in the 3rd picture from the "saleen" interior?

also the rear headrests are different then in the saleen picture

someone added a saleen plate to this poor car

i think that the car for the movie is probably just a rolling chassis. there might not even be a motor in it. the odds are they have more than just this one for the movie. one for driving scenes and one for close ups. that might just be a lcose up car and not actually drive.

Forgive me, but... There are two concept cars? I knew about the silver one that made the rounds at the auto shows and with Leno, but what about this second one? Is it any different than the one that I know about (color, etc.)? Are there any pics of it?

I have see pictures of several. I know for a fact there is also a red one and possibly blue and black ones. the red one was at the atlanta auto show I believe. here are some of the pics I have found.

the pictures of the blue and black one look like they were digitally changed colors. if you notice the car is in the exact same spot as the maroon one. the wheels are in the same spot on the ground and the rim faces the same way. im definately getting one of those black ones though, that looks pretty sweet.maybe get some grey racing stripes on it

Too cool! I can't wait for the movie. Bet they will have some excellent Camaro vs Mustang chase scenes. I wonder what they did with the LS2 engine we saw in the other bumblebee pic. Maybe it's hidden under a chest plate or something.
