Yay! we made the homepage!

This was a pretty fun event. Everyone that drove had an awesome time.. the best time swapped hands at least 3-4 times between 3 cars. Epstein, and Chevy3 were running pretty fast and both were in 1st place for a portion of the day.

I don't have the final results yet.

It was even better than the pictures. We couldn't do pictures of everyone or a good formation this time. Next time, I guess.

Finally get to see the actual layout. Damn I would have been confused as hell, and probably would have drove slower than molloni because I wouldn't have known where to go, but at least I wouldn't have used my turn signals.

I was just looking at the SCCA rules and realized that the V6 guys entered in the wrong class. They should have been G Stock... only the V8's are F Stock. I don't think the CAI's and headers are allowed in the Stock classification either... I think they should have been classified as "Street Touring". Has anyone else looked at the rules that can clarify this?

When I pulled the tape off mine, you couldn't even tell it had been there. I expected some type of residue to be left behind, but nothing...

Yes, you are correct. The 6 cylander cars would have been in a different class.
Although, some of you 6's were pretty fast... may have even edged out a few of the 8's.

I told you guys it would be close competition for all of you...

600 told us wead be together unless are cars were mods that had significant hp gains. If I under stood. I have headers and trust me besides the volume noise there wasn't much for gains. I think the (3) on my car gave me all the advantage I needed .lol

Having the SNELL certified helmets on...How was the visibility on non-sunroof vehicles like?
I drove mine on little talladega gran prix and I couldn't see for s#!t. It was like an airplane cockpit... nothing but, sky. LOL I assume that not having the sunroof would probably give you a few inches of clearance but, not sure how much.

Yea, the first time I got in with the helmet, I was like "WTF???" because of the even less clearance with the sunroof. I had to tilt the seat back and bring it forward a bit. I have no idea how the instructor did it. He was taller than me. He's probably used to it though because he was racing a Vette.

Getting used to that was tough.
