If you can get a hitch for the camaro, you shouldn't have any problems towing something that small.

all depending on how you plan to tow 1500lbs of bikes, with the Camaro or your truck

the car's obviously got the power & depending on the tongue weight, the suspension might be able to handle it, but you have a truck. it's made for that kind of stuff!

I have a 7' X 14' Wells Cargo Trailer. I wanted something that would be fun to drive once there.

I don't want to sell the bike, if I just took one bike I would be trailering less that 900 lbs. Eureka Springs is fun place to spend a couple of days. Beautiful twisties for a car or motorcycle.

I would consider my Camaro could handle 900 miles to and from the mountains towing what I needed.

I could be wrong!!

I just want to mount a bike rack in it.

Anyone seen info on hitches from mfgrs like Rigid, Draw Tite, etc?

Personally I would not consider it and technically I am sure the Camaro can handle it. Give it a try when you get your car and let us know how it goes.

I really just don't think I would do that. 2003 Tahoe Z71 for that stuff.

Towing a bike?

Never had the idea to do that. Then again, I ride 30-40K per year. With that said, I think the Camaro would be the coolest tow vehicle you could have Please post when and if you hook that up, love to see pics of bikes riding behind the bumber of a new Camaro

Follow-Up.

I sent off emails to Reese, Rigid, Hidden-Hitch, and Drawtite.

Their all too similar response was that "IF they develop a hitch it won't be available until fall..."

I'm going to explore the idea of a hitch after I get my car. I'm not going to tow the love boat or anything heavy, but may need to tow small trailer.

I have found a Hitch manufacturer in the Midwest that is very interested. Right now the plan is that they will have my car during my vacation in late July (A bicycle trip so I won't need a car, but I will miss it) and they will custom fit me. The final design will go commercial within a few weeks after that.

Since this could still fall through I won't name the mfg yet. But Camaro5 readers will be amongst the first to know if I get a hitch!!!

They may have to do about 600 miles of road test to get it right
