Need some ideas. I am looking for some thoughts on a good polisher that is not the top of the line but something at least average that is not too big in size. Name and about how much. Thanks Guys,

x2 the PC is pretty much the standard... works and will just keep on working... its rare you hear of a PC having any issues. I believe the failure rate we've seen on them is <0.01% last I checked... and we've sold a lot of them over the years.

Safe for a novice, effective when you get the techniques down, and proven.

The Griot's 6" Oribital Polisher gets my vote.

1) Has more power than the PC (ever try to correct bad paint with a PC with a 6.5" pad...I dare you to try). You can't put very much pressure on a PC with a 6'5" pad before it stops rotating)...if you get one, get 5.5" pads. Better suited for final finishing or laying down wax/sealant.

2) Has backing plate included (PC doesn't)

3) Cost (seen them for $129)

4) LIFETIME warranty (PC only 1 year)

5) Takes any Pad a PC will contest in my view.
