When they auctioned off the first ZR1 we had a little contest on the corvette forum.

Honor system. the closest guess (over or under, no Price is Right rules) gets $5 paypal from all other contestants.

So if anyone is interested......................

I'm in at $250,000.

All bets are off when the car rolls on the block.

if you're gonna start that, you need to start a new thread if you want people to know about it

As much as I love the idea of the stripe going over the spoiler, I really don't like that it ends before the bottom of the spoiler. I like the look of it ending at the trunk line myself.

All the way around is too much but I would prefer to have them to go slightyl past the front hood and stop there and since I'll be getting a wing spoiler I would like them on the deck lid is all.

Not to be too negative on the stripe issue, but, the stripes on the trunk lid look like they were too long so they just folded them over the spoiler. I wish they looked more like the bumblebee concept. Oh well.

So far we're talking about the back. I agree, over the spoiler looks best. But what about the front. I thought they were going to off the hood and end just below the mail slot?

this has been beaten to death so much lately...
long story short - they end on the hood because it's way more complicated to make & correctly install the over-the-slot type.

By the way the auction has been going this year, kinda low-ish... I'll say about $375,000. Who knows...

Another issue unanswered is I would like to know more about the Catback exhaust system. What is the actual CFM, back pressure, pipe size and is this something simular to the Chambered Exhaust system that I have on my 1969 Z28? Also, what is the tube size of the Shorty Headers offered and the collector size? Thanks for the Hurst Shifter too!

I'd bet you can pick up the 4-pack from your dealer's parts shop for about $300-400. Plug n play, my friend. regarding the exhast questions .....

Dude, have someone do stripes for you later. Get them the way you want them. This way you have the only one out there like it.

Does anyone know how much it will cost to get the car to be painted to match bumble bee's color? And how much to do bumble bee stripes? I feel the stripes belong over the mail slot and at the trunk lid line. And is anyone recording this?

What about 35th anniversary Camaros? I believe the stripes carried down below the grille on the front of the car like so.

a 1969 ZL-1 COPO just went for $290,00. Most thought that it would at least fetch $400,000 or more. There were only 69 of these cars built and I am shocked that it went for this low. I can't see the 2010 going for more than $185,000

They are now on lot#1285 and the 2010 Camaro is lot #1316, so there are 30 more cars to go.
