hey all. just a little update on the coil overs. these things are phenominal. the car rides so much better than it did stock with the 20''wheels and tires. every time i get on a new road and see bad bumps coming or come up on a railroad track i crenge. but they leave me smiling on the other side. the car is so much smoother just thought i would do a follow up on the post. any one looking at buying these you want regret it. i was worried about the car having a harsh ride and beating you to death. but it is better know than it was stock and i am running o'rings on 22''. these things are awesome. ok im stopping now.

Sounds like KW is the value to be had here. With the V1s coming in at a grand under Pfadt and about 300 less than Pedders. Looks great.

Has anyone or can someone verify that the KW V1 and V3's will clear a stock SS rear 20x9" wheel with the Pzero 275/40/20 tire mounted on the front ?
Thanks....Ed M.

ed M. the wheels on the rear of mine have over 1.5'' more backspace than the stock 20 ss wheel. with a tire nearly 1'' taller than stock and they clear very good. the stock ss 20'' should have a lot more clearance than my 22'' do.

The BMR Camaro (Project TriloG) uses the V3's and we dropped the car 1.75". The look is awesome and there are no issues with bottoming out the car or the shocks.

The V1's ride great also, but we haven't tried running them at 1.75" drop yet so I am not sure how good the ride quality will be at that height.

The KW's seem to be the best performance for the price.

Thanks. But my question had to do with clearance between the front coil overs ( specifically the springs ) and the inside of the front wheel/tire assembly. When running the factory rear wheel/tire ( 20x9" w/275/40/20 Pzero tire ) mounted on the FRONT of the car, the clearance between the strut assembly is reduced. I know of one person who ruined a set of tires as they rubbed the front Pfadt coil overs springs with the factory SS 20x9" wheel mounted on the front.

Thanks! Do you know if there is any room to go lower than the 1.75 inches of drop that you went with? Could you go another half an inch lower if you wanted? Also I thought I read somewhere that to adjust the V3's a access hole has to be cut in the trunk??? Is this true? Thanks!

Yes, you could physically run them lower, probably another 1/4" but I am not sure about another 1/2". At 1.75" lower the car rode really nice but we haven't went further than that only because we were satisfied with the look at 1.75".

Yes, the top adjustment (rebound) is inside the frame so an access hole must be cut in the trunk pan in order to access the upper adjustment. I haven't decided if this is a good or bad thing though. You could definitely say that having to cut a hole is a bad thing but it does provide very simple adjustability without having to crawl under the car as other brands require. You still have to adjust compression on the bottom though...

Very very nice! And colorful too! I'm jealous......can't wait to get my coilovers installed after listening to the great results with the V3's!

Those are nice and the price beats most others on the market. I ended up going with the Pfadt's over the KW3's primarily due to the color scheme. I simply could not get past that yellow and purple...

I can completely understand. The colors are hideous. Great shocks though!

The V3's will NOT clear with the Havoc wheels in the front - ask me how I know!! I had to have spacers used on the fronts, which I don't care for...

I do think mine need to be adjusted though as the ride is more towards the harsher side. Not sure how they were setup.
