I think that 7 is from a previous rod trip by the team. LOL I'll stick with 3.

Just got back from Clearwater Beach. Met up with Camaro X and his family so they could see the car. I'll let him post up his impressions. He has a sweeeeeeeet IOM with some nice mods, including a back up camera and monitor.

But I will say this, driving down there and back with the top down, all I am thinking is how hard it would be to sell the Sky. This car is just such an awesome cruising machine. Top down, 72 degrees, music on and Mrs. Number 3 in the passenger seat makes for a very nice ride indeed. By the way Mrs. Number 3 thinks this is a weenie mobile because it has an automatic transmission.

You may not like convertibles, but there is no way anyone that comes to this web site wouldn't love to drive this car on a nice night like tonight. Simply a joy.

Solid, wind buffeting not much more than the nice warm Florida breeze, I am liking this car verrrrry much!!!!!!

Honestly, I don't know if that's an option. We were simply driving with the top down. No extra screens in place.

Tarpon Springs...if you have a chance, stop by Classic Corvettes and Collectibles. Always a great inventory, and always something worthwhile to see...

First of all I would like to thank Mr. & Mrs. Number 3 for taking time to show my family and I the convertible. We met at Clearwater Beach. What a great location to see it! And perfect top down weather. As good as the coupe looks, the convertible looks even better. The body lines work great with the top down. I think visibility is better than the coupe with the elimination of the wide pillar at the back of the front window. Four power side windows instead of two. Trunck space is reduced from the coupe but it is not bad. I can confirm that two set og golf clubs fit in the trunk with the top down. I liked the screen in the trunk that provides an indication limit to the loading height. This way you won't fill the trunk to height and find out you can't put the top down because you put stuff in the way. What an awsome site to see it at the beach. I would have liked to take it home with me. If you think the sun visors on the coupe are small the visers on th econvertible are even shorter. But with the top down who cares. I really didn't even notice the shark fin, possibly because it was body colored. A great looking car! Here are some photos for your viewing pleasure. Please don't be confused seeing white stuff on the ground and Michigan plates. The white stuff is sand, not snow.

Thanks again for taking your time to show it off.

And one of mine to show I was there!

And a photo I took of the concept on Feb '07 at the Chicago auto show.

I can't get over how handsome the convertible looks. And then you put the top up and aren't put off by nasty ribs sticking out everywhere....

I'm so happy how refined and "grown up" the Camaro team is making this 5th generation to be. Not at all the rip-snorting 'redneck mobile' some people think of it as.

From all the vert pics so far. The RJT looks the best. And the grey/ebony interior sets it off. Very classy....

Not to jack your thread, but the GM accessory site does list a windscreen as a future product #92219688, not sure if it will be ready at public launch of the convertible or not.
Hopefully it will not end up like the performance air intake, shorty headers, Hurst shifter....

So far I would say it isn't needed. The cabin is much quieter with much less buffeting than our Sky.

Can you put the top back up without having to manually remove the Tonneau Cover?

Thanks,

It's a manual cover that snaps on and quickly pops off and easily folds for storage in a convenient bag.
