No blind spots, no problems here. I honestly can find no blind spots to complain about!

That's because you are moving your head like most of us which we all must do until GM finds a way to make invisible rear view mirrors.

I guess my driving experience of over thirty nine years helps me avoid making goofy complaints. Again the only blind spot I could complain about is my wife s head when she is with me.

You can be proud of not being a complainer but to go around saying that the Camaro has no blind spots is what's goofy! Everyone that has ever tested the car has pointed out its limited visibility and as a designer working in the studio that created it I can tell you we knew to the millimeter about the compromises we were making when we designed it (except for the mirror thing). I'm glad you've been driving for 39 years but don't get so full of yourself that you think you can see fine out of your new car or you'll have a big crash!

After reading this whole thread all I can say is "WOW". I guess in my own little corner of the world I don't get to see this many GODS that can't read in one place. As for adjusting the seat..... some people have kids that sit back there so you can't go all the way back, but I guess I should put them rugrats in the trunk or just not let them things in the car, or better just leave them at the house by themselves.

Vision problems?

Adjusting your seat sounds like an easy fix, maybe too easy. I think most people were aware after a test drive the vision does not compare to a Honda van. I have driven Corvettes for 35 years and for ME I have no trouble at all. Camaros are 100% better than the vision of a vette and I don't have an issue with any blind spots. You can probably get a smaller GM mirror with On Star, adjust the seat or adjust to the issue. Good luck!

I can't understand why a person asking for ideas and even offering a few for a situation he feels is important has to be flamed by self-important smart alecs. If you don't like the topic or find it worthy then don't respond and ignore the thread, otherwise contribute to it. Nobody is impressed with your bile, This is not a request for an explanation, rather a plea for you to go elsewhere..

Thanks for the idea on the mirror, I'll be looking into a mirror out of a Traverse for the addition of a back-up camera, so flipping it won't work for me. GM should make a Bluetooth OnStar bar that you could put elsewhere allowing for a less intrusive mirror, as you said every little bit can help.

I can't believe how much flack you took on your '09 rant about the mirror. I couldn't agree more. After reading the posts last night I adjusted my own mirror to the limits of the existing arm, and it made quite a difference. I didn't realize it went up that much. The flip job would improve it more, but thats for another day. Stay the course and thanks for the tip.

I would like to say one last thing. I am glad that I did not see these forums before I bought my Camaro, because I may not have bought one . There is so so much negativity about the car in some of these posts. Plus, when my company van was in for repairs the rental agency was telling me how hard it was to see out of the new Camaro, he was very negative.
Moral of the story, know the vehicle you are driving , and know your limitations as a driver.
I was only trying to counter act the negativity.

Just wonder what effect this has on the auto-dimming mirror with the rear sensor hidden behind the headliner. The mirror in my 03 Impala had all the same features, but seemed much shorter (could have been because of the larger windshield). Curious if a mirror swap would help.

I'm with you, I have heard several visibility complaints in here about the Camaro. Fixed the "blind spot" one, about the side mirrors, by getting those little round convex mirrors (would never have a car without them).

But this thing about the rearview mirror is just something that I don't get at all. I don't know if maybe the SS Camaro's have a different mirror depending on the package they have, but I have a 1LT and I adjusted my seat all the way down, as far as it could go, and the last thing the mirror is to me...is in the way.

I did think it was cool though that they showed how to turn it upside down.

Ok, I spent 20 minutes of my life reading this threat, I am still asking myself Why?? Why??? Why did I read it. Oh well, you might try driving in reverse based on the percentage of reflection and based on the moon alignment on the 3rd dimension of the positive percentage of the rear glass with the ratio of 3.44 in a 12% latitude of the angle in direction of the thrust in reverse mode. WTF!!!!

I couldn't get my mirror to flip over, not enough slack in the wire.

I'm surprised nobody has a direct replacement part # yet. Junkyard mirrors are relatively cheap.
