I've had my SS for almost two years, and would be interested in seeing same day track results with the SS and ZL1 going heads up on the drag strip and a road course.

The ZL1 has enough creature comforts and all out power to entice a lot of the SS crowd out of their "aging" cars and into a new one. Anyone on the fence with an SS that has been waiting for the warranty to expire before adding a blower/turbo will be running for the dealerships or running for the tuners just as soon as the pricing is released.

All I know is that I bet the 5th gen would create the baddest Z28 anyone's ever seen from the factory.

There are already alot of SS models that are faster then the proposed ZL1.

The catch is, they weren't faster from the factory. Anybody can spend money and make a car faster, there will always be somebody faster, it just depends on how much money you can and are willing to invest in your car.
