Camaro GMS/Supplier discount increases

Hello Everyone,

I wanted to pass along some information for anyone that is ordering a new Camaro after Feb. 18th and using either GMS or Supplier pricing. The MSRP hasn't changed, but all the prices have raised a little bit for the GMS or Supplier price on the car and the equipment across the board. Keep that in mind for anyone getting prices here on out.

Are you saying that the discount is increasing (car will be less expensive) or discount will be decreasing (car will be more expensive)? And since supplier pricing for the camaro hasn't been released (although GMS has), how do we know that it's better/worse?

I work at a dealership and just got the new pricing schedule that states effective for the 18th. The discount is not as much as it was before the 18th. I just wanted to make sure anyone that is putting an order now realizes that it has changed just a little bit.

When the invoice for the car arrives, the CORRECT price will be on the invoice. This is what dealers will work off of. GM puts that number on there, and that's the discount. If it changed, we'll see it on the invoice just prior to the car's arrival.

Another good question. AFAIK it wasn't supposed to be available until production begins on the 16th...

I would love to post this sheet, but I think it is still suppose to be confidental. I'm not trying to cause a BS thread, but just trying to pass along important information.

Understandable after poor DealerInfo caused a stir by simply listing updates of people's status. Hey, GTAHVIT, anyone in authority you mods know willing to allow posting of the updated info?

If someone is getting GMS is it supposed to be reflected on the order workbench? My dealer told me that GMS is something that is handled at the dealership when the car is paid. Is this correct? Thanks.

I don't think supplier pricing was ever revealed. Back in mid-October, when MSRP pricing was revealed, we did have full price sheets posted on here somewhere, that included MSRP, Dealer Invoice, Dealer Price, and Employee Price.

I believe you are correct. The dealer invoice, not workbench, will have the additional "lines" that list GMS/GSU pricing.

No pricing is in workbench (unless that changed real recently). It will be printed on the sheet along with MSRP, etc with the car though.

I know things change and ultimately once it arrives thats the cost...whats funny is my dealer sent me the list on the 17th to update me and the numbers were the same. What a difference a day makes if they changed on the 18th. My dealer also told me what Camaroscotty said.

Forgive my confusion here, but this seems to contradict the "introductory price lock-in" promise that's been going around. What do you mean by the invoice having the "correct" price when the car comes in? I thought the price was set in stone if you order before March 15th?

MSRP was set in stone for pre-orders. None of the discount prices were set. Each vehicle invoice will have GM Employee and GM Supplier prices printed for that specific vehicle at the time the vehicle is built and shipped. These prices are non-negotiable and is what the dealer can sell the car for, if they choice to accept these discounts. GM can not force them to sell the cars at employee or supplier discounts to those that qualify.

I just checked and the OP is right..... A new pricing schedule was released on February 18th. From glancing at it briefly, it looks like retail prices stayed the same, be employee and GMS went up.

I am getting employee cost, and it looks like a 2SS/RS with sunroof is about $750 more than before.

The new price sheet is readily available at gmfamilyfirst.com and gmpricing.com. I'll post it here, and hopefully the mods won't nuke it.....

My price sheet only shows MSRP and employee, it does not show GMS or invoice. I'm sure someone with another login would be able to see the whole thing.....

On my 2SS/RS base pricing went up, RS package pricing went up, and so did the hurst and the sunroof.

Thanks! Do they have the old pricing out there too? And it looks like the new code for the Hurst shifter is KAE.

K. I just wanted to discuss it with my dealer and don't want them to say "pricing isn't official" or some BS.
