Little more info on your setup is needed.
What browser, os ect.
Did your cookies get turned off somehow?
Does it happen with only a specific browser?

I've had this happening to me lately. It even seems to randomly log me off. Yesterday I was typing up a long message (of course)...went to submit and it tells me I'm not logged in. So at this point I try to log in and then it thanks me for logging in, goes the next screen and I'm NOT logged in anymore.

Now, I'm a windows 7 user, on Internet Explorer 9. I've been using internet explorer 9 since it was released with zero issues until the past few days. I'm not sure if it has to do with the new "live topic" feature, but it might since I didn't start noticing anything until about the same time Live Topic was introduced.

When this happens, I have to resort to using my FireFox browser to get logged in, as once this happens in IE, it stays persistent. Didn't try clearning my cookies or anything to see if that helped but may be worth a shot.
