I guess I don't understand how the second one is better?

Doesn't the first one have a larger CMOS a lower lux which makes it more sensitive to low light situations? Also has a RCA connector/smaller for an easier installation?

The second one comes with the water tight connectors on the out side, so you have them at the pint of the camera and then it comes with a grommet to go in to the trunk and a second water tight connectors as apposed to a RCA jack.

I'm interested in the complete system with the upgraded camera. Other than required installation tools, will this come with everything required for a functional system? I'm new to this forum as I just purchased my new SS. Thanks in advanced. Total cost still $350 + $12 shipping? Form of payment?

okay, I am suscribing to this thread, just curious about the 1SS differences.... you mentioned the diode that needed to be installed. So is there not power in the overhead console of a 1SS while in reverse? would this change the installation in any way?

thanks!

Ofer, what's the cost on just the harness and/ or either camera? I have a lead on a rearview locally.

I am adding them in all harness now, and yes on 1SS cars, The green wire needs to be powered in "R"

I figured I could mess around and piece a kit together, or I could buy a complete kit from Ofer and pay him for his hard work. Payment was just sent! Another Orange Crush project item!

Thank you for the hard work quick shipping!! Just got my kit today!....my only problem is I am having serious second thoughts about drilling holes in my bumper. I am contemplating getting a license plate mounted camera instead. Any thoughts on which one would work the best?

I know how you feel (almost ordered another camera to avoid the holes)and its even worse (as far as size goes) with the gm camera. I bit the bullet yesterday and it wasn't so bad. just made a template and dremeled it out. Looks like it came from the factory.

So PPl know on the 2011 Convertible cars there is a change in the rear bumper and there is a large hole there for the camera, This is the new rear bumper that will come on all 2012 there is a cover if you don't have a camera.

Thank you "jdec141c" for the heads up and pics.
