2012 SS Keyed - looking for bodyshop to fix - Page 2 - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Upon inspection, I think you guys might be right, its not the typical slash of a key. It looks like something heavy that took out the paint down to the metal, like a gauge. So What would you recommend, filler, primer, paint, clearcoat? Or will they have to repaint the whole back and roof of the car. This is so frustrating, I have less than 600 miles on that car. Would you use insurance or pay it out of pocket?

BTW: Thanks to all you guys, the angry is starting to subside, now I just want it fixed. I am in Fairfax.

Use the insurance. That's why you pay for it. It'll be covered under your comprehensive, so it won't affect your rates.

Post this request on the Mid Atlantic forum, thier's where alot of the Northern Virginia Camaro owners hang out and can best see your post and help you find a good place for the repair. Really sux about your car, post another pic once its fixed.

I'm sorry to see this happened to your car... it makes me upset to see that people can be this goddamn inconsiderate (if they dropped something) or this full of a need to screw other people over probably out of jealousy (if it was keying). Hope you find a good body shop!

Depending on your insurance provider, you might be able to get this fixed under that. Allstate protects against mayhem!
