Wow, you are right. The Ford website does have the 2012 Mustang. Probably getting a jump on the 2012 model year to beat the 2012 Camaro sales by having a longer model year. The BOSS 302 ($40,000 base price) makes very excited about what the Z-28 will be. I still say the right Z-28 will have double or triple the sales of the ZL1.

There really isn't any incentive for Chevy to go into the 2012 model until they catch up on convertible sales.

yes there are some impressive hp numbers for the various new mustangs, but I just don't like their looks. That's probably why they need to run commercials to drum up interest.

Yep, my Chevy dealer only has 2 'verts, a 2LT and a 2SS, both in cyber gray. I imagine they won't get any others until some of the coupes or those 'verts get sold

I was hoping for a medium to light blue metalic in 2012 to replace synergy green. Guess that's off the table. DVD/GPS option would be nice. BTW, old news for most but I drove a 2 SS with HUD. Very nice with the HUD.

This carbon flash metallic should be called Carbon FlashBack because it reminds me of the metallics that were popular in the 60s and 70s.

Hopefully the Carbon Flash Metallic doesn't use the same metal flakes (xilliac, I think)that are used in IBM, CGM, SIM, and RJT because you can't order any of those colors now.
I've been holding out for a 2012 CGM and with the disaster in Japan, there isn't a replacement for the metallic flake yet.

Actually, Blue just does not sell that much. ABM was cut for this reason, not because of the blue oval

will the 2012 SS manual also have the CAGS shift option and will the current skip shift delete work on the 2012?

The 2012 should have CAGS and yes the aftermarket deletes should work. Can't say this is 100%, but I haven't heard of any changes to CAGS.

I think ABM was cut because when people saw the demo color on the website the car looked more teal than blue and it just didnt look as good as it does in RL.

That's a good scapegoat...but I hardly think that was the only reason ABM didn't sell. None of the colors are accurately represented on manufacturer websites.

In terms of some very passionate enthusiasts' tastes? Absolutely.

In terms of business? No. It was a logical decision.

I have to say this again...........ABM was not available to pre-order in October 2008? on SS models until about Thankgiving, this forum, probably had a good push for both Blues being offered in the SS, I held off ordering until it was available, for me it was ABM or White (which was even later availability). Remember the early R6P cars were over 80% SS models, ABM was only 3614 built, never had a chance, but great for me, love the color.

So, you're getting a 45th edition then? I ask because that's the only way you can get CFM.

Nope, GM announced that SGM is done in their changes for 2012 and there is no replacement for it.
