Anyone Else Find Themselves Taking the Long Way Home?

I got my car in Feb. Since then I always seem to now be taking a long round about way to get home to extend my drive and waste gas. Am I wrong for wasting gas in this economy?

Today, I went to go see my therapist. It's a direct, two turn route which is less than 2 miles.

I took the long way, which ended up being almost ten miles.

For me the 'long way' happens to be less expensive.. Fewer stoplights and higher speed limit but more miles. Since I get considerably better mileage and it is more fun the 'long way' wins!

ALL THE TIME!!

In fact...I find myself making several unnecessary trips all the time. I just get in the car and take a spin for awhile with no general purpouse and then come back home!

I used to drive a Tahoe so the MPG on the camaro is great (on the V6 anyway). Im averaging about 18mpg right now...in the Tahoe I was at 12mpg!

Amazing isn't it? Me too. Thank you Chevy for building such a fun and reliable automobile. Thought I'd never part with my '02 Z06 Vette.

Gas is to expensive to take the long way home. I find myself driving the Corvette more because it gets better mileage.

My car is one year old today and just turned over 20k. Seems like we are always taking the long way home.
