It must be a 248 thing.. we are all getting low numbers whenever one dyno on 248 dynojet.. I'll update with your dyno run.

Okay, I'm truly a newby at this but here is my Dyno sheet from today. My mods are only Borla axleback exhaust & CAI inc cold air intake. So someone tell me.....How did Ruby do? She is an automatic. The temp was 84, humidity 48% & she has 25,540 mi on her.

STAINLESS WORKS 1-7/8
BORLA ATAK CATBACK
CAI INTAKE
PERFORMANCE TUNE

The green line is with the exhaust and intake.

The red line is after the headers install and tune.

and... I think the fact it's orange adds about 12HP.

edit:
damn... sorry... I just noticed this is a V6 thread.

Not bad ruby, but its a little hard to tell if you don't have a base number, the result while you was stock on the same dyno within identical condition. I think you might of dynoed on a low reading dynojet like the 248x. Considering your Cai should give you about 15hp I can assume that you probably would have dynoed in about 230 stock which is what we usually see stock camaros on dynojet 248x. If you ever decide to get more mods at least now you have a base to go by.

I thought we had a new king for a minute lol. Nice numbers either way

Miniature, thanks for verifying. Its always more informative to know the difference in numbers that different dynos put out.

Finally got my car dyno'd again after the long-tubes and cat-back were installed.

First is the baseline numbers from October of last year when my camaro was bone stock running 87 octane:

Date: 10/16/2010
Shop: A.R.D.
Dyno: Dynojet (Can't remember which model number it is but I do know it has a history of low readings)
Gear Pulled In: 4th

Pressure: 30.28 in-Hg
Humidity: 23%
Temperature: 89 *F
STD: 1.01

Peak RW Horsepower: 219.73 hp
Peak RW Torque: 197.35 ft-lb

Now with my upgrades this year:

Upgrades: Cold Air Inductions,Inc. Cold Air Intake
VMax Motorsports CNC Ported Throttle Body
ADM Air Scoop
Roto-fab Window Washer Bottle Kit (to get the stock one of the way of the CAI)
Stainless Works Silver Ceramic Coated 1-5/8" Stainless Steel Long-tube Exhaust Headers with High-Flow Cats
Solo Mach X-LLT Cat-back Exhaust with J-pipes
Trifecta Engine and Transmission Tune
93 Octane Fuel

Date: 9/17/2011
Shop: A.R.D.
Dyno: Same one as before
Gear Pulled In: 4th

Pressure: 30.24 in-Hg
Humidity: 39%
Temperature: 89.63 *F
STD: 1.02

Peak RW Horsepower: 249.28 hp
Peak RW Torque: 242.92 ft-lb

Not as much horsepower as I was hoping for, but compared to the stock numbers it is a good increase. The increase is about 30 hp and 45 ft-lb of torque at the rear wheels. Not sure exactly how to figure out what I'm making at the crank, but since my transmission and drivetrain is still stock as before, then if I take into account what the SAE rating is at the crank, then the efficiency of the driveline is 70.5% for horsepower and 71.22% for torque. Dividing my new numbers at the wheels by that, I should be getting about 353.2 hp and 341.3 ft-lb at the crank. Someone can correct me if I'm off on that.

The next thing I'm going to look at doing on this car is upgrading the torque converter and swapping out the open differential for a limited-slip and 3.73 gears before considering nitrous. I'll be able to get 1/4 mile times at the Texas Camaro Nationals in Sealy,Tx that's coming up in 2 weeks.

If I remember correctly I think our member rolnslo dynoed at ARD a while back which use 248x and got the same low stock result around 225-230rwhp, but I think yours is the lowest I've ever seen a stock camaro dyno but what matter here the most is how much you have gained and the gain look really good Do you happen to have the graph from both of the runs so we can see how much gain there is off peak.

Yeah I took photos of the dyno sheets, but for some reason I can't figure out how to embed those images in a post. So I'll just link back to a post I did on the H-Town Camaro Club website:

http://www.h-towncamaroclub.com/showthread.php?1695-Finally-got-my-dyno-numbers!

For some reason Camaro5 asks for a URL link for photos and I don't use Flicker or Photobucket.

TexasCamaro, I think you can be happy with those numbers. Yeah they are not the best "for show" numbers because they seem low, but its obvious it is a low reading dyno. On a different dynojet you should be in the 270s or higher forsure with those mods.

35 - 40 HP gain with those mods would have been nicer, but 30 is still a good gain. I'd suspect your gain in the mid to mid-upper RPM range is higher than that.

Yeah I'm not really worried about. Definitely will be looking at upgrading the drive train next (torque converter, differential, gears and maybe drive shaft) and maybe a lighter set of wheels.
