Car shut off twice in reverse today

I have 2010 2SS Camaro (stock tune) Today I started the car up after work and right after I put the car in reverse, it shut off the car. Put the car in park, started it, put the car in reverse and it shut off again (had the AC on both times.) 3rd time I started it, put it in drive, moved forward then reverse and no problems (not sure if I turned off the AC). Could be wrong but I noticed the other day the my engine seems to remain very hot several hours after driving it (not sure if that's normal, just gripping at straws!!).

Has anyone else experienced this problem? Thanks!!!
