From what we've been able to determine, she is the first 45th in California. She was built on 8.4, delivered to the dealer on 8.15 at 2:00 am during the night drop, and will be delivered to me on 8.19 at 10:00 am by the wonderful Tommy Edrisi at Selman Chevrolet (thank you, Tommy!) Thank you, also, to Becky - I could not have made it through with my hair intact without her to ease my anxiety with her status updates and calm words of wisdom!

Over the next few days, Lyssa will undergo a special new car prep/detail. Details by Pic will be cleaning her up, Chips Away will be installing her clear bra, and We Do Windows will take care of that clear glass and give me some protection and privacy.

My very special 45th will be highlighted in several install features as she gets upgraded for this year's SEMA show, with these articles to be followed by a full piece later on. To all the purists out there, the original parts will be retained if there is ever a need to put her back to stock.

To everyone who helped with the car or who helped me emotionally, thank you so very much. I've been waiting for this car since March 8th of last year, when my confirmed one-of-a-kind, loaded, pristine, low-mileage 35th SS Convertible was rear-ended at a high rate of speed while I was stopped on the freeway. After 18 months of driving a four-cylinder with an automatic, I can't wait for some horsepower mated to a manual transmission!
Lyssa

Congratulations and Thank You from your Oshawa Build Team We wish you many years of driving excitement with your all new 45th Anniversary Camaro . Best Regards from Canada

Just wondering if there is something up with the leather on the dash?
It looks like it is coming away from the dash by above the HUD controls.
I'm pretty sure someone would have mentioned it to me by now

G, Rick - any thoughts? You guys have seen it in person...

ME too! I will figure it out in the next few days. I've got some mechanical geniuses who I have every confidence in (Chris @ 2Edge, Rick A) should Chevy not have fixed it, and we'll get it taken care of one way or another.

What is this "drive safe" you speak of? Does drifting count as such?

And who determines if one is driving safe?

Drive Fast and Take Chances is my motto, after all it is Modern American muscle, enjoy it.
And to answer your question, drifting is safe as long as the police are not around or any innocent bystanders in case of an opps.

Nice! I agree with you. I have a 1997 30th Anniversary Z28 which currently has over 130,000 miles on it and it still looks and runs great. I've had it since it was new and It was my daily driver for 13 years until I bought the 2010. All you have to do is take care of it and you will get to enjoy your special Camaro for years to come.

Unless someone decides to talk on their phone, oblivious to the stopped traffic in front of them, and rear end your car

But I agree, taking good care of them is a key to longevity!

So I stopped by Selman today and Tommy told me your 45th was down the street at Chips Away for it's Clear Bra, took a ride by, here are some pics.
By the way, T.J.'s work is great as well as Ron from We Do Windows, the tint looks awesome, nice choice limo all the way around.

Just so you know, that is the real Herbie movie car. He really liked Lyssa, but she wouldn't give him the time of day. She told him, I dont care if you have a Porcshe engine, you're still not fast enough to keep up with me.
She's into American muscle, not Euro trash. Herbie was heart broken. He could only admire her.

Hey guys, forgive my lack of knowledge... but what's a "Clear Bra?" Looks like some type of clear material applied to protect the front bumper area. Am I sort of in the ball park with this one?
