When I owned my SS, it was so new that I had people following me to take pictures and talk to me at gas stations. However I got a lot of people at gas stations go gaga over the 5.0 badge and ask me if it's fast as well. Having driven both now for over a year. I loved the Camaro's cool look and celebrity status, however I am glad I traded it in for the 5.0 when I did. I do notice the Mustang is less clunky when shifting and comes with a stock shorter throw shifter than the Camaro. And the Mustang does seem to be more nimble around turns as well. As for speed, I know the 5.0 is faster however it is all relative. My wife likes the passenger seat in the Mustang better than my Camaro though since it is higher up. She always felt like she was in a tank while sitting in the Camaro. I hope they do a 4 way adjustable for it standard one of these years as that would make it better for shorter people without the need of a pillow. But overall I am glad I got the opportunity to own two great vehicles, and got to meet some nice Camaro enthusiasts on this forum. I have been away for awhile but I check in from time to time.

Damn sure not what the drag strip shows.....

If we want to get into the quickest lets look at:

....looks like 2 power adders.....

...and:

...single power adder.

Those Ford's just suck don't they? Especially considering they have a 1.2L displacement disadvantage to start with.....

The 5.4 in the gt500 has as much potential on the stock short block as any other production engine on the market. Once you start playing with internals, the only game is, "who has more money?"

FYI -- The Mustang is an automatic and the Camaro is a stick. The LPE Camaro's fastest run was really good.
