Now is the time we need to start reaching out to other groups. Next years calendar will start filling up soon.

Meeting!?

Hey everyone-

Let's meet again and get this ball rollin' on the area club. I'm ready and we WILL get more accomplished this time.

Side note, after racing this weekend we went to a quick car show and there's an FS club in KY we could perhaps get ideas from.

I'm all in for a more formal club but I hope you all realize there is more to a formal club than just saying... "hey, let's be a club"...

You need rules, bylaws, officers, a bank account. You need to hold monthly meetings, have a news letter... etc.

I'm a member of two clubs already and I'll help where I can. Recruiting members is going to be the tough part.

Anyone want to do something at VOA this year? Maybe this weekend?

We have been using the term club, and maybe we shouldn't. And who says if we use the term club we have to get all stuffy and formal?

I motion that we don't use the word "club."

Cool. Maybe Saturday or something? I'd go up to Beavercreek this Friday but I have to go get the parental units from the airport.

How about association? Association is less clubby.

no no no no no no no no no no no

this is not what we are going for. formal clubs = headache

this needs to be casual, and FUN. If we lean more towards a formal club (i hope not) you can count me out. its too much to deal with and in the end too much stress and not worth it.

we do need to get back together and continue planning for next year, hopefully sometime soon? also if anyone has ideas for a logo or tshirt design, something like that let me know I'm working on a few ideas right now

a tiny bit more formality would be a good thing because then we can actually plan some events. I loved the way we did it with CSR about 10-12 years ago... no fee to join, no required meetings, one "formal" show per year, a bunch of informal cruise ins, and we got to have a blast with THOUSANDS of people at each cruise in... right here in Cincinnati!

I also want a flipping calendar somewhere. I'm sick of hearing you post about some awesome event you were at while I was at home twiddling my thumbs because some how, even when I look at this forum daily, I miss the events! haha...

You know there is a calendar here on Camaro5.com. We possibly could add events to it.

I maintain my own calendar of car events in an Excel spreadsheet I'd be glad to share. I find events from various sources incluing Camaro5.com and www.countrycruiser.com . This Saturday, I'll be a spectator at a car show in Eaton, OH that should have hundreds of cars. http://www.downtowneaton.com/carshow.html

I think I've been to everything you texted about except the week I was in Canada! (so thank you)

This is helping already: TSGMP Event Calendar
