That commercial was shot on Pacific Coast Highway at Mugu Rock (the big rock on the left). It's pretty famous and it's been in a ton of movies and commercials, recently Iron Man in the shot where they're racing the to the airport (shot at Mugu Naval Air Station).

It's right up the road from here, about 25 minutes or so before you hit Malibu.

A Camaro off the line doesn't sound like that. They come so muffled and I don't know why. You have to buy your own exhaust kit for that kind of sound. I haven't looked for a related thread, but does anyone know why GM muffles them? They never did that to the previous generations of V8s. That's my biggest pet peeve of the 5th gen.

All cars come with mufflers. My last three 4th gens were all just as quiet if not quieter with stock mufflers.

Not to be picky, but someone at that ad agency was obviously watching Quantum of Solace before they came up with this concept

Those are the best kinds of commercials. They appeal to your emotions. I like it.

Yep, It's from the other side of this rock in the back ground driving up the coast. A lot of car companies and movies use that stretch of road for filming.
