Talking Hurst Roll ControlŪ Brake Line Lock Kits now shipping from Apex Motorsports

THE ORIGINAL ROLL//CONTROLŪ

Reduce the chance of “Rolling the Lights” and producing more effective “Burn Outs” for heating up the tires. Rigorous testing has proved a 1/100,000 of a second release time and vibration tests have seen up to 30 G’s applied without mechanical failure.

This will STRONGLY benefit an automatic at the track.

There are Camaro specific kits that use the Hurst style solenoid. I don't know if there is one specifically made by Hurst however.

I have to buy brake lines for my new brembos, do these replace them or compliment them. How do I go about implementing these? and is it worth it

Yes, specific for the Camaro. It's pretty new, and we have not had time to break open a box and get good pictures yet.

One thing i noticed after reading the instructions is it doesnt mention cycling the ABS... is this not needed? Id have to assume one would need to manually cycle the ABS system with a Tech II after an install like this.

I would have to defer to Hurst.

All of installs and tests up to this point have not required cycling of the ABS system (ABS Automated Bleed Procedure). According to the service manual the only time this is required is when:
  • Base brake system bleeding does not achieve the desired pedal height or feel
  • Extreme loss of brake fluid has occurred
  • Air ingestion is suspected in the secondary circuits of the brake modulator assembly
None of these above conditions should occur if the installation instructions are properly followed and the brakes are bled properly before operating the vehicle.
