Did anyone else see the exhaust at 29 seconds and see the valve close off?

Kinda weak for the mother of all Camaros. Super sticky tires and short runway may have contributed to poor results (I hope).

That was a pretty weak burnout. There is definitely a lot of room for improvement in the ZL1 burnout department if you ask me.

GM sure did their homework on the new camaro! I just wish it had better visibility...

Burnout: Let’s surround your car with concrete and obstacles on 3 sides and give you 100 feet and see how brave you are. Now do it with your buddy's car instead of yours. Obviously this was one of those 'work with what you have' scenarios. A crappy burnout is better than no burnout in R&T’s eyes. For some reason they could not find an open area to do it in? Like an open parking lot instead of that death trap? LOL.

Engine Compartment: Of course it doesn’t look good - this is a test mule / not the production engine compartment.

You just pretty much described how I do my big smokey burn outs before every 1/4 mile run I do, except I only roll out about 50 ft.

Agreed weak burnout.

Can I change the subject for a sec.
They are saying 580hp for the ZL1...wheels or crank?

They advertised 426hp on the V8 SS Man for the 2010 but we all know it's more like 360ish at the wheels.

If these are crank numbers, are we talking 580hp at the crank and 500 at the wheels, I'm just doing my math here.

Yes, all cars HP ratings (that I know of) from the manufacturer are measured at the crank.

That's what I figure. I wonder who will win between a good cam only car and the ZL1.

Limp "burnout"; if you can call it that. Give me the car and I will definitely show you one. Car has a nice throaty exhaust note, that's for sure.
