LOL, it would not be that much LOL. Magna ride on the vette I believe is about $1700 option, plus I figure since the mustang get optional forged aluminium wheels and brembo brakes for $1700 extra. The camaro already has brembos standard they just switched out the front brakes, so it could be a $1700 option aswell, all the cosmetic flare I can pass on.

Basically its a wheel/tire package + better front brakes + magnaride 3.0.

I hope you're right. I thought magnaride was more expensive than that, oh well.

If I was ordering a ZL1 right now id feel a little pissed.
Same spoiler, same rear diffuser same side rockers, same wheels, same magnetic ride control, same exhaust
same interior
minus the LSA

its looks good, but going with the 1le theme from the thirdgens i think it should have optional power windows and lock and seats and radio and ac options , that would make it neat as hell .

Cool... A ZL1 minus the supercharger. Sounds like the Z07... which is just a ZR1 minus the supercharger basically.

Love the wheels, exhaust and aero kit. Paint it all one color please. Lose the Dodge hash marks (yes, I know it's a Corvette racing thing from yesteryear but... lose them).

Keep it affordable... $40-45K. TOPS!

Never happen. Cost to much to delete those things. Where would the put the window crank? It's much cheaper for companies to make PW and PDL standard than to engineer multiple trim pieces and door panels.

Nobody is locked in to ordering the ZL1 as of today so if they want to bail based on this concept they can. This car is very nice but also doesn't include:

ZL1 Hood (downforce)
ZL1 Fascia (downforce, cooling)
Brake Cooling Ducts
Diff / Trans / Engine Oil Cooler
Underbody Belly Pan (downforce, drag, cooling)
High Performance Fuel System
Performance Traction Management

If it weighed 3700-3800 lbs, had ~500 HP, MSRP of $45,000, and was actually being produced I would give it serious consideration.

if you look closely, its the standard Camaro rear diffuser cut wider to accept the 4 tip catback.

That price range is a little too close to the SS. Won't be lower than 47k IMO - but not over 51k.

I would like to see a factory CAI, freer flowing manifolds and the ZL1 beefed up diff and axles with a 3.73 gear. There's an easy way to bump the HP to 450 and drop weight to just under 3800 lbs. I would put a deposit down today.

I don't get the leather seats with out the 4 pack gauges. I would have done the exact opposite.
All of this, esp. the bolded part...want me to "keep the faith" build it as described here. No more overweight pigs!!!!

I know many people like all their pretty and comfy internals, but one can't have everything... Is it too much to ask to have a "Stripper Z" again?
I sure hope not......but again, "keep the faith"

Being a graphics designer I can honestly say that the graphics on this Camaro are the best I've seen in many years. Don't lose this one GM.
However to complete the look it should have the convex area in the tail panel and the tail-light trim blacked-out as well.

I figure if the SS can start at 31k with no options, starting this model at 40k with no options makes sense as well. I think that would definitely cover the cost of magnetic ride, exhaust and exterior upgrades... Sure you can buy a SS coupe for 50k if you buy a fully loaded one, but you can also buy a fully loaded LT for 40k (or 10k more than the base SS).... So I don't think 40k is out of line for a mid-range model.

The supercharger for the ZL1 really is worth 5k installed add to that the cost of the LSA, you're still easily selling a car with 6k more of an engine with the supercharger. Add to that the other traction control stuff, unique forged wheels etc, you've added another 4k in cost. Add to that profit margins for being the top dog, the car could easily be priced 12k more so unless they're going to price the ZL1 for 56k with no options (assuming they price the 1LE at 45k+), they're going to out price the current Ford GT500 by 7k... that's not good for business. Add to that the fact that it only will have 580 horses which is 30 more than the current GT500 and a heavier body (most likely) 6k doesn't really seem justified, even with magnetic ride... The ZL1 will be priced 3k more than the current GT500 at most.

Take that full circle, you really can't charge much more than 40-42k starting for the 1LE considering that it has none of the engine upgrades of the ZL1. But also consider the fact that the Boss 302 is priced at 40k and my argument appears to make even more sense as this car would be its direct competitor.
