T2 Port Install - PIC HEAVY

Ive been wanted to install t2 ports since I bought my camaro. Ive been searching everywhere for a good write up or at least some decent pics of this installation and I never could find anything that helped at all. So, heres a good one for you guys to see and hopefully help someone else with their install.

It was a very easy install with one of my buddies helping me out, until I had to sandwich the inner ring and the ports together. I had 6 large clamps and it was still very very hard. So, I epoxied the port in, let it sit for 2 hours clamped, and once that hardened a bit, then I epoxied the inner ring on the inside of the bumper. Then let site overnight, and it looks amazing.

8 hours with my buddy helping, then I let it dry/cure over night. But, Now that I know where to clamp everything correctly. I could do it in probably 4.

The proper way to Glue this together is you put the glue/epoxy on the insert(inner) only & not on the front(outer).

That is correct, there should not be any adhesive on the outside. Adhesive is used to bond the inner ring to the inner surface of the port and NOT the bumper.

Looks good, the beauty of it is, it doesnt matter how bad you are a cutting (to an extent) his line was nasty as hell and mine would be as well, but the edges cover it up!

Good install, People will just have to choose between ports or a ZL1 bumper

Yes I only glued from the inside. The glue would have squeezed out if any was around the port lip. And that would have been bad.

It Came with a 2 part epoxy. But finding the "caulk gun" for it is next to impossible napa has to order it in. Lowes home depot advanced auto parts do not carry it.

I forget the name of the dremmel bit but it comes to a point and it meant or cutting plastic. On the inside I cut the black piece thats clips on to the inside of the bumper. And the bumper fits back perfect like factory

Did you buy the blackout vinyl below your lower grille? If so, where? I love that look...

Behind the bumper is the frame of the car. And that black piece sits between the bumper and the frame. Probably for low speed crashes so your frame it not damaged and it adds support to the middle of the bumper
