Thanks so much Superchris. I am having so much fun doing this. Mom and Dad would love this thread. Although they never had the opportunity to look at or ride in the 2010, we would take rides in the 1968. I remember the last cruise we took, I was driving with Mom being co-pilot. My Dad was 6' 7'' and we finally got him "tucked" in the back seat! We cruised Monticello, Indiana and simply had a great time.

Pinstriping of engine compartment

I wanted to post photos of the engine bay first and will follow-up with those of the body as well.
Before I go any further, I must speak of the man with the talent to "tatoo" vehicles. His name is Ken Klim. They call him "Wildman". I discovered his talent years ago when I was looking for something for my 1997 Dodge Sport Truck. With chaulk in hand and about 2 minutes of his time, he had drawn on my truck exactly what I was thinking--and had no other information other than I asked that it be subtle. Oh, and I advised him he would get the job only if his signature was on the truck. He agreed and the rest is history. I trust you will find his work on the 2010 Camaro real nice and subtle--so subtle, sometimes the sun needs to be just right to bring out the colors. He used red and cyber grey to compliment the Aqua Blue and Cyber Grey Rally Stripes. Many at shows come up to the car stating, "Hey, that does have pinstriping on it and the closer we get, the better it looks. Who in the world did that?" As far as I am concerned, that tells the story.
Thanks so much Ken for making our ride what it is today. Oh, and by the way, yes "Wildman" is painted on the rear bumper!!
Your friends...Kurt & Kathy

Thanks Bo Tie. I have a 327/300hp 4 speed w/410 GM Posi. I am going to do a build thread on it as well. I left Tran a message asking if there would be a problem with that. I have yet to hear, so it must be okay. Thanks for asking...

Time for the body pictures

I am posting the pix of the "tatoos" on the body. As I stated before, the sunlight sometimes needs to be just right to bring out the color and talent of the pinstriping.

More to come. I asked Ken to remove the vinyl gills and paint them. He did--Grey and Black.

Color Combo

I should have posted this the first thing. Most can tell, but for those that don't know the colors--Aqua Blue Metallic with Cyber Grey Rally Stripes.
I have yet to see any others with that combo. I have not checked with
spastic squirrel.
Please let me know and post some photos..Thanks...

Wheels and Tires

I began the search for wheels and tires January 2010. I wanted a 5 spoke with some dish to it-something like the wheels on my 68 Camaro in my garage. I just knew I found what I wanted.

1. First choice. Boss 338 with chrome spinners. 20 staggered. They would not fit due to the Brembo Brakes. :(
2. Second. Gianelle Cancun 20" staggered. They would fit and I ordered them. Then the dealer/manufacturer told me they would not even be available before the end of the year. So I cancelled the order.
3. Third. TSW Strip Gunmetal. 20" staggered. They would not fit as well due to the brakes.
4. Fourth. Maas' Modular 551C. 20" staggered with new OEM Perrilli PZero rubber. These would and DID fit the car just right-and look pretty cool.

JEM 2SS?

Who or what is JEM? He is one of my best friends. He was born on November 11, 2008. He is our grandson and a Veteran's Day boy. Our family thanks each and every Veteran for what they have given for all of us. Without them, our family along with all the others in this USA would not have the opportunities we have. THANK-YOU ALL, and may God Bless each and every one of you!! He and I do most things together, and is the LIGHT of my LIFE. God put him with us on that date, and Kathy and I thank the Lord every day for him. He is Jackson Edward Minglin and he has laid claim to the 2010. He says the 1968 is Pa Pa's and the 2010 is Jackson's--so hence forth the name!

Today's Results!

Kathy and I photographed the car at the Tippecanoe Country Club in Monticello, Indiana. Thanks to Jim Ousley, Cliff Cobb and Dave Ireland for not only allowing us to use the facility, but on running and maintaining a superb golf facility.
