Ok So here is my story and car, and picture build thread!! (it may be a long read but its worth it!!!)

My Name is Gordon, AKA Mohawk!

First off this car was a dream come true and couldn't have been done without the support of my Wife I owe her alot and cannot thank her enough for her patience and support through this whole event and process.

A little background and history leading up to the build:

I had a dire yearning for the new Camaro just as many people I assume after watching the Transformers movie, but I wanted one and wanted it fast, built and better than any car i have ever owned, (3 Mustangs, 3 Camaros, 86 Chevy monte Carlo...) So when i finally had the money to buy whatever car i wanted within reason i hemmed and hawed on to either rebuilding a classic or making a classic! Making one won in my mind. So as i was getting ready to take new orders in the Navy, i found out i was going over seas to a wonderful tropical paradise we all know as Afghanistan! Yea so when i found this out i thought great when i return ill get my car and build it, but.......little did I know my wife wanted me to get it before I left, (i think she knew my plans already). So i purchased my 2011 Inferno Orange 2SS/RS in July of 2010. And well the rest is history!!! ......Just kidding!

So like i said i was heading to Afghanistan and that i did in August 2010. So as i settled in my job and numerous internet searches and findings and getting me all excited to the brink of craziness, i finally found and figured out what my goals and ambitions for this IOSS were. So here we go the build:

Car:2011 Camaro 2SS/RS

Engine Modifications:
Granatelli Carbon orange fiber Cold Air intake
SLP Longtube Headers, SLP Cross over X pipe and SLP Loudmouth I 4" exhaust
Granatelli LS3 Stage 3 Cam.575"/.562" and 212*/230* @ 0.050"-
Granatelli Stage 3 Heads (heads flow 375 at .600 and Exh 265 at .600 and three way angle valve job and ported
ARP Head Studs
Clutch Upgraded McCleod Twin disc LSX 1000hp rated Billet flywheel
Granatelli Machined LS3 Block
Manley Forged pistons and rings and seals
Manley h-beam and rods
ATI Harmonic Balancer
Granatelli Slotted Front and rear brake rotors
Magnuson TVS2300 Black Finish Full Supercharger kit
64LB Injectors
Kenne Bell Boosta Pump
Methanol Injection Kit
625 ml/min Nozzle
Dual Nozzle Upgrade
Bulkhead Fitting
Solenoid upgrade
Granatelli Lowering Kit
Granatelli Tubular Rear Steel Control Arms
Granatelli Rear Sway Bar and bushings
Granatelli Adjustable toe link
Snow Performance Stage #2 GM MAF
Melling Hi Volume Oil Pump
Granatelli lowering Spring Kit-1.25" drop in the front 1" in rear
Diablo Sport Trinity

Exterior Modifications:
Limo Tint Windows side and rear
Black Hood Stripe and Hockey Sticks
Flat Black Inferno Orange filed Bowtie Rear/Black Bowtie front grill
Flat Black Camaro Badges
Terminator Carbon Fiber VIS Hood, and custom color matched painted cowl.
Honor Valor Commorative badge
Havoc rear Spoiler color matched stripe extension.
20 X 8 Concept One Concave 5 spoke Flat Black Fronts 20 X 10.5 Rears, with custom painted IO center caps.
Carbon Orange Fiber manifold covers.
Flat black quarter panel inserts
Blacked out rear taillight bezels
Inferno Oranger Cold Air intake tube.

Interior Modifications:
Engine Dress up kit all Inferno Orange
Hurst Short throw shifter
Single gauge pillar mount
Autometer 2 1/16 boost gauge Carbonfiber
Granatelli Embosed Valve covers
Custom Painted IO color matched, internals, fuse box cover, abs cover, master cylinder cover, wire harness cover , battery post cover
Granatelli Solid Motor mounts

...So as you can see alot has been done to this car and the ones responsible for not only dealing with my crazyness all the way from Afghanistan and after throughout was Granatelli Motorsports J.R Granatelli, and Chris were awesome in every way, everything i asked was done he educated me on numerous things throughout and in the end did way more than he even was required! There is no where else that i believe would have built this car any better and any cheaper with out being one bit of cheap!!

Future Plans......Duhhh of course::Carbon fiber Rear Diffuser
Carbon Fiber Lip Spoiler.
Carbon Fiber Trunk lid
Killer Chiller system.
10 or 12 rib pulley system and 10 or 12 rib SC Pulley
Flat Black Fuel Door
Supercharger Badges,
Complete Bushing replacements

Someday i hope to turn this car over to my son in hopes of the Father son dream car wish every little boy has i think when there Dad owns a cool sports car, and hopefully in 2030 the 2011 Camaros will hold as much respect as a 1967 one does to this day. I know cars will never be built and warrant the respect as the cars who paved the way to American Muscle but I hope at least it will be somewhat the same to him when hes 25 or so to take the keys to this bad boy! I know i would love to have had my Dads sports car god bless his soul! And up from heaven i hope he is looking down and with a smile on his face proud of the job ive done and the car i built, he was a gear head and as much as anything in the world I wish he was here to expirience this and teach me, I hope i did him proud!

So thanks for reading all, enjoy the pics and to my SO Cal HT5 Family and friends ill see you out there and we be turning....Heads that is!!

Very nice build Gordon!!! Glad you decided to create a build thread. This is the meanest baddest IOM Camaro on the streets in my opinion. Looking fwd to seeing this beast as COTW.

Very Nice indeed. Joey has mine now and has been making some upgrades as well. Look in my sig. Stay safe BU1 and see you when you get back. Stop by bldg 1444 sometime and show me your work of art or we can get together with some other Camaro owners and make a run up/down the coast.

That explains the NCBC Port Heuneme! I don't know many BM's that are lucky enough to be stationed there. LOL.

Sorry if I offended. If it makes you feel better you can do the same for me. My source rating is AO so you can call me an AD or something.

Well I was a CE and finished as a UC. Only knew he was a BU because our community is so small. Nice looking car (monster), need to bring it by the CECOS bldg and let me take a look next time you drive it on base. Let me know when and I will drive mine as well (once I get it back).
