I plan on adding a turbo after the warranty is over. Don't plan on racing it competitively at all, but something to increase gas mileage for everyday driving, and to have some fun on weekends.

I've owned a lot of turbo cars, and unless it's for a race car, I probably never will again.

Turbos = lots of heat, lots and lots and lots of heat. I've literally seen the turbos glowing orange on several occasions.

Hopefully 426 is enough, but dam 3800+ is a heavy beast...

Supercharging as soon as GM dealer will install Vortec S/C as to not void my warranty. Vortech S/C with full length headers and cat-back Corsa exhaust should pull 550rwhp.

If its a WELL made kit, I'd go with a turbo...most efficient package out there and they also produce IMMENSE torque once spooled. The latest turbos on the market have about eliminated lag, so its not a problem. A nice intercooler will greatly reduce the intake temps and a properly placed turbo and you won't have to worry about turbo heat. Second I like a S/C, but I'm still partial to centrifigal units for now.....I know Roots type are getting better by the minute! I'm a nrmally aspirated guy and have laid waste to plenty S/C cars with a heads/cam package on my 95 Z. All being said, for ease of build and hp return I'd now go with boost. Can't rule out NOS though!

taking the ATI Procharger P1-SC from my LS1 Camaro SS and putting it on my 2010 after i drive the first 10k miles and ensure all recalls are done.

why? because its easy to bolt on, i already have the blower, and ill make over 550rwhp.

A nice Eaton supercharger, probably the R2300 series. (ZR1 charger for those who don't know)
I love a supercharger because you have torque and power at all times, with only a small penalty. The supercharger whine is the best, and beats the sneeze of a turbo blowoff anyday!

That LOUD whine is what I hate most about the Roots type....it sounds like an electric car!

I might bolt on a blower after a couple years of production and all the kinks are worked out. I'm not feeling adventurous, especially with the L99 and who-knows-what kind of expense and experience needed to properly screw with the computer. Hell, just getting an OBD2 scanner will take a fat bite out of your wallet, and that's just basic diagnositcs. It's never as simple as bolt-on, no matter who says different. Modern cars are almost organisms, few systems are truly discrete, and parts are expensive, even from the junkyard.

Mild boost from a supercharger, mile enough that I do not require new heads. New valve springs and a cam, headers, cat backs, tune from a reputable shop........anything I'm missing? Not sure if the suspension mods coem first though cause the SS aleady has formidable stock power !

The new gen tvs eatons don't whine nearly as loud as the old ones. Listen to the ZR1 and the CTS-V.Guys that have swapped out the gen 4 for the gen 5 eaton on the cobalts have all said that they are much quieter. Also if you get the right sized turbo, you won't have any lag and you'll have much more power, better low end torque and higher peak hp.

Turbo
better gas mileage
i prefer the sound of turbo spool vs sc whine
and i think turbo lag is kinda cool, it's like they get you off the line and a couple second later you blow by.
