Your just plain wrong. (insert standard flamage).

25 years and in most states you can get classic plates. like Texas.

The price then starts going up up up if in good shape.

And for you to say that is just ignoring the history of the Camaro and Corvette.

How much does an 85 Corvette go for? Or 85 Camaro? They are probably worth more in scrap metal than as a complete unit at this point.

no don't think so.. it's the 69 who has the most appeal. no models of the camaro will ever come close.[[ok the zr1,copo,yenko etc]just look at the crazy rich people at barrett-jackson in scottsdale.. they are spending like hell on those cars you don't see the 3rd or 4th gen attracts lots of $$ .

Ummm.... not so much. Does it go up if its clean? Yeah its no longer a $1000 car to get you around... Does it go anywhere to be worth mothballing it for 25 years? Or restoring it to clean or as new shape? Not by a long shot. You're talking the difference between a $1000 car and a $4000 car.

I dont think that this car will ever be a collectible, especially as fast as they can churn them out. Does anyone know how many that they could make per day in the 60's?

Just because it has classic plates doesn't mean it's worth a lot of money,
I have owned many corvettes of all the generations numbers matching non numbers matching so I don't discount your point but we are not the only ones on this website that know about the camaro, it won't be 35,000 units sold it will be more like 350,000 units sold, but I changed my mind, your right if it's in good condition it will go up in value. it will just take four generations of our childrens children to cash in.

well being that production was stopped for camaro for 7 years, and that this is the first production model since...i believe that all the pre-orders will be collectibles in due time. just like whoever got a pre-order of the first retro body of the mustang will be a collectible sooner or later.

Everything is collectable if you wait long enough... The question is how long?

I instructed my dealer to leave the interior wrapped. I am going to bring the car home on a trailer and put it to rest. I did buy the car to add it to my collection. It will only have a few miles a year put on it. So, we will see how it fares compared to my 69's!

It will definetly be a collectible, the first year of the return of the Camaro. Showing off modern 21st century engineering and styling. like this..
