high beam switch

Yes I did use the search button but without any luck.

Current drivers of the 2010 Camaro, to turn the bright lights on do you pull the turnsignal arm toward you and click them on or do you push the signal arm away from you to turn the brights on? My Silverado has you push the lever away and it makes it hard to reach to turn them back down. Thanks

you push it away, but it returns to its initial position once they are turned on. You can pull it towards you to just flash them.

Has anyone that's taken delivery of an RS equipped 'maro used the high beams yet? I'm curious to see how bright the highs are with the HID lamps...

BRIGHT.

They certainly do what they're designed to do

Perhaps I'll get pics or video this weekend

I don't know if I've ever seen an HID lamp that is both the low and high beam. Anyone else know of another car that is the same way?

I'm definately curious to see what it looks like, but I've always found it's pretty difficult to get a good photo or video to show what it looks like accurately...

I'd love to see comparisons of the standard and HID lights in both low and high beam. I'm still on the fence about the RS package.

Jamie, if pushing the stalk forward makes it too hard to reach, you might be too far away from the wheel. Proper driving position should allow your wrist to fold over the top of the wheel, which should give you plenty of reach to move the stalk forward and back.

I think he just means his fingers may be too short to do it while his palm remains on the wheel.

I'll do my best to get pics and/or videos this weekend to do comparisons. I may use the truck which has standard headlights as a control.

Its really not a huge issue. Its just not comfortable to do so with my palm still on the wheel. I just liked it better when you pulled it and released it to go from hi to low beam. Kind of like the flash to pass is now. Then again I always liked it much better on the floor but I don't think we will ever see that again.

I'll try to get you some pics with the high's and lows tonight. I'm out in the country so it will get nice and dark so you can see a good comparison.

ahh, i too like the older style of pull on, pull off. idk, the push/pull feel weird. but, i will grow used to it.
and also. i too want to see the comparison,
how do HIDs compare to xenon projector lights?
are they the same, just different name?

I liked the pull to switch between lo and hi better also. But I've grown accustomed to the push/pull since I've had it the last 4 years.
