SURE!!! There goes the warranty though? When doesn't adding a little boost to the OEM blower not add power? Yopu can't get crazy, though, without addressing IATs, fuel/spark/tuning, or the bottom end of the motor. The highest I've seen advertised has been 19psi through the OEM 1900, with all the supporting IAT mods' (no meth' or anything though, as far as I can tell), and H/C and bolt-ons. I'm not going that high, but I'm thinking about pushing boost and supporting IATs through to 600 RWHP with minor bolt-ons. I believe that should be pretty easy

Well I mean Im not planning on going too crazy I have my 67 for that (actually considering supercharging it now that I mention it lol) but I would like to do some minor modifications to pull a little extra umph out of it.

Seems kinda backwards considering the more cubic inches an engine has, the more displacement required from a supercharger.

I have a custom built VMP TVS 2.3L on my 2009 5.4L engine.

You can get 650+ to the wheels with the 1.9L - if thats not enough then at some point you can throw a bigger blower on.

I put a reduction pulley on my current car the weekend I brought home in 2005. Has not affected the warranty. I increases boost from about 11psi to 16psi. The only other thing I added was CAI. Never had a tune and it has not made a difference. Car has 33k now and runs like a champ. I have tracked the car and it does just great.

I believe that's with boost only. I swear another Cadillac tuner is above 700 with that tiny 1900 with supporting long block enhancements

Nope you are wrong. I have numerous friends that have done the same mods as I have. The dealer has performed all required maintenance and service. The Service Manager and even the Owner of the dealership are aware of the mods and still provide the service needed. My belt tensioner was part of a recall; they changed it and even put on a new belt, all under warranty. It all comes down to dealer relationship.

I'm not speaking on his behalf, but I believe he was just pointing out that 1900 is not peetered out on LSA in stock form and that there is still significant untapped potential left in it. Obvisously, the 2300 has a lot more in it (not to mention the even larger TSs and centrifi's), but there is also a sweet spot where all blowers operate and seeing as how the head and cam combination on LSA is not all that aggressive, 9.5 psi on the 1900 is not leaning on it too much, and we may not want to dismiss it so quick before taking it's potential into consideration. Personally, I was thinking about a 2300-LS9 swap, but I believe with some HE/IC mods', I think I'll be just fine running the OEM 1900 for where I want to be.

I think you will be fine with pulleys / HX etc. I am at 540hp to the wheels with headers & CAI running about 7lbs of boost. I will let you know how it turns out when LPE gets done with it in March. We are doing a 2.55 upper & 9.17 lower with ported S/C snout and ID850 Injectors. This combo will provide a 38% overdrive which will provide maybe 6-7 lbs of boost back and hopefully hit close to 650 to the wheels. This is without changing the cam also. I will see where the IAT's are at and how she runs on the road track also. I am sure a bigger blower would be better on the IATs but if I can keep the stock charger and keep the IATs in check for 650hp, then I will be happy.

I am sure once the ZL1's hit the streets people will be tearing into them and getting great results - shouldn't be too long

AWESOME!!! That's a combo' I'm contemplating, minus headers. I might go with some ARH-shorties because of CARB, but I'm looking at the pulleys and hoping for 600 to the ground. That will be plenty to keep me happy for as long as I can afford gas to fill the beast Please keep us posted, because what's going to work for you is going to work for us, too
