Well it may match the original grille but I recently replaced the upper and lower grilles with the Heritage grille, which i had painted to match , and the Street scene lower valance... I have seen a number of pictures without it painted to match and it looks good , there's just nothing on my car that goes with it so I opted to have it painted.. I'm still in search of a shop to have it done at

Here's a picture of one I just found on google.. this is not my car but it is the slp splitter so you can get an idea

I think painted will look better unless you have flat black somewhere else

i gave ************.com a shot and ordered the splitter threw them after fastlane wouldnt ship for the amount i paid. next day i get a email from ************ and they also tell me it has to ship ups oversized and is going to cost me 85 more to ship it. SLP is the ones telling them that shipping is wrong when they are selling the part. i guess no splitter for me, not spending 100+ just for shuipping.

Try RPI - seems like they are running a good deal.

I've been considering the same splitter. How does it attach? Is drilling required?

Well, I am installing the splitter today without painting to see how it looks, I have the stock grill so the color and texture are the same. I will then park it outside and take it all in. I will post pics later this afternoon for you guys to give me some of your views. I think once Ryan paints his I will probably do the same lol.
NewAge, you have to drill like 10 holes

did u order from the same place? did they contact your about shipping costs like they did with me? or did u get lucky and they shipped it without saying anything? i really wanted the splitter but im not paying the outragious shipping prices. rpi says 48 for shipping, but who knows how much extra will be added once the order is placed.

I also have the same problem with my driveway. I have only scraped once since I got the car lowered but I know that the splitter will not clear. I have to pull in and out rediculously slow and angled as it is. Luckily I work for a steel fabricator so I am getting a piece of 3/8" plate to bolt down and smooth out the transition between driveway and street.

I will definitely post pics once I get it installed. I figure if I put it on and I dont love the painted look, I will paint it with plasti-dip to get that textured matte look. We will see!

Anyone have pics of the mounting process of this splitter. This one looks very close to the splitter used on the 1LE concept that was at SEMA
